Reggie seems to resign by the 8th move.
During play Reggie did say something - the chess moves
Reggie: e4
Me e5
Reggie: Nc6
Me Nf3
He stopped toaking and I added" Reggie I know what game they are playing and it isn't chess.
He logged off soon after that...
Ehsan has a spec on which game Reggie attempting to have us emulate, look for that message....

Might there be some connection in that he resigns after 8 moves, and that he gave us the 8 mirrored chess moves? (e4, e5, Nc3, Nc6, d4, d5, Nf3, Nf6)

Reggie's been toaking? No wonder he's so messed up lately...

No doubt CEM, I completely sympathize...this chess stuff goes way over my head...hope it doesn't last the whole game because I still don't know how to play. Mos was nice enough to try and teach me on Yahoo games but I've been having technical difficulties...argh! Yahoo hates Canadians...why? why? What did we ever do to you Americans? We gave you hockey, football, basketball, Montreal bagels, Nanaimo bars what more do you want?????

It's just something that I've never been able to master...probably because I have absolutely no desire to, but it makes it really hard to follow along or feel like you can "jump in".
Mind you I'm not complaining...er....well yes I am...lol...but I'm just waiting for something to do. (And no I don't want to attempt to learn....again). You chess nuts will just have to finger it out on yer own....Arrrr. (Sorry piratese residue)

Personally I'm speccing that the solution isn't a chess thing. I think the chess notation is being used much as a hieroglyphic or semaphore alphabet would be used in a puzzle.
Scuse me, now I have to go clear out some room in my freezer for the trout.

Addie, why not put it in the four large chest ones we have set up in #acheron. I think #2 still has a wee bit of room left in it...
Cem, those of us familiar with chess moves and notation are playing the games, but we need a few good crackers to look at the moves to see if they can be translated into ascii, semephore (the knight moves are L shaped, bishops move diagonal, pawns straight vertical) and see if the direction and moves if plotted can be deciphered. Check also for numeric values, a pawn = 1, Knights and Bishops = 3, etc. Check for morse code. The notation used to indicate check "+" could inticate the end of a word, or sentence.
We have a thread going in Puzzles for some of the games and I think the chat moves are there as well.
