I guess there are some (American) Football fans out there in the world of UF, and I am one, and I wanted to set this thing up for people to rant about their teams, discuss any news, or talk about some games, or just trash talk. I guess, we can start things out with who's your favorite team, and what makes you like them.

My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. My dad is a big fan, and I picked it up from him. He liked them during the Steel Curtain era in the 70's mainly because they were so hard-nosed.

As I've grown up, I still like the Steelers because I like the way the team is run. It's a hard-core running and defensive team, with some no nonsense owners (the Rooneys) and coach (since I've only known one, Cowher). The fans are rabid and loyal even through the bad years. So all in all, it's a good team to like, and I've liked them more and more as I've grown and watched them. The end. *weepy violin music*

 		I was raised in a strange way, in regards to football at least. I lived in southern California, but my mom positively worshipped the Cowboys, so I was raised to do the same.

Naturally, I don't anymore. Last few seasons I've been rooting for Seattle. The Packers (because of Brett Favre) have always been cool to me - and for some reason I love those expansion teams - the Jags and the Panthers.

Basically, I'm all around. This year, I think I'll be rooting for Seattle again.
