Joe, it's official: Charles Rogers collarbone has displaced Fred Taylor's groin as the most unreliable body part in the NFL. Whoever drafts Charles Rogers is allowed a compensatory draft pick in which they must draft a cadaver to serve as spare parts.

They can use the salad fork sticking out of Joey Harrington's back to make the incision.

I won't be able to make the draft (that weekend is booked for me). Sorry all.

mstephans, I could very easily change the date of the draft. I did it on a weekend to accomodate all of us if there were timezone issues. If we are all in North America, we could do it during the week, or we could do it the following weekend. I don't want you to miss the season because you can't make the draft date i suggested. If worse comes to worst, you could just pre-rank your players, and the computer will draft your team based on your rankings.
I'm sure everyone is willing to accomodate you so that you can play. It's not as fun if you don't fill the league, so let's try to go out of our way to get 10 teams.

You don't really have to be there for the draft, it just makes it more better.
I once won a league mostly with the players I got when I was not there for the live draft.

Hey folks, my brother and a friend want to join the league, so I'm going to let them join in, and just bump the entrants up to 12. If we use the extra two spots, that cool; if not, no big deal.

Sweet, Rowan! Now we just need one more victim, er, I mean, team.

Now known as the Jesus Quintanas -- makes for much better smack talk.
Let me tell you something, pendejos. You pull any of your crazy s--- with us, you flash a piece out on the gridiron, I'll take it away from you, stick it up your ass and pull the f---ing trigger 'til it goes "click."
Nobody f---s with the Jesus!

Hey everyone, we need just one more team to play in the league. We can't have a draft with an odd number of teams (we currently have 11) so let's try to persuade one more UnFictioner to join up!
Thanks!

My buddy Dave Gilliland is in, he'll sign up for his team on Monday when he can get to his computer.
He's a big Colts fan. Try to draft Peyton, Harrison, and Edge before him to see if his head asplodes.

OK, Dave's in as the Angry Telemarketers. League's finished!
One question -- for the purposes of the draft, what's a W/R? It's not a wide reciever, that's just plain old WR. And speaking of WRs, won't 3 be a bit much for a 16 round, 12 team draft?

Joe: W/R is a WR/RB spot. It's good for 10 team leagues, but for 12 teams, I think it's too much. But 3 WR is still ok for 12 teams. There are 32 NFL teams and both of them have at least 2 starting WR. I'm going to drop the WR/RB spot, though.
Now that the league is locked up, the draft is going to be Sunday, August 28, at 2pm EDT/11am PDT. I have no idea how that converts to time zones that are not part of the continental US. Proceed at your own risk. If you cannot make it to the draft, be sure to pre-rank your players. Your pre-rankings will help determine your picks based on your needs and who's available.
The draft is accessed from the main league page. The order of the draft picks will be selected by Yahoo about 20 minutes before draft time.
See you Sunday!
