Maybe it is just me here but, in order to join a clan you either have to create a clan or be INVITED to join...

In my part of the world, if someone INVITES you in, you abide by their rules and don't chastize them how to run their own house...

You don't like it...leave. Plain and simple.

I enjoy all of you, even you Dante and we have had some wonderful times playing this game (ATTENTION! KEY WORD JUST WRITTEN!) but, I don't understand why this is such an important topic to some players.

Play the game.

Enjoy each others company.

Of course I can't be quiet now since my name came up. That's not how I roll.

I don't think anyone wants drama. Are we having drama about not having drama? Guys, are we all trying to see the both sides here?

Obviously, if we don't want to have what happened in SPDR happen here, than it's just a bad idea to have everyone able to invite anyone. That's only a matter of time before you invite a total asshat.

Solution 1: stop inviting people to the clan unless you know they are either a beekeeper or someone like omalice, woody, or suki.

Solution 2: I think ATDT's peon idea is just fine for this situation.

Alternate, Solution 2b: good communication with those who have staff ability. Obviously, when staff have voiced a noted exasperation for clan management, this isn't going to be simple. I personally saw Krystyn a week ago, and she was the first staff person I'd seen in a couple of months. I know that we'd been trying to get Ubercado into the clan ever since he had switched jobs, but needed a staff person. That was news to her, and she cleared it up. Uber is now E3. Yippee. That pretty much solves the only problem that's come up in the last six months, but it took at least three weeks because of folks playing at differing times.


Let's be clear. Those who say they aren't interested in rank really mean they aren't as interested in rank as they could be. You folks know that you're playing clan matches because it keeps your other matchmaking ranks safe, and it's not always about getting matched up with an unknown fourth person. I have played many games where folks have said, "I don't want to play x because I don't want to lose my rank there. Let's play training or clan." All things being equal, this is the wrong approach for this clan. I never say anything about it when it happens, but you know that E3 is not a rank-focused clan.

Let's also be clear. Staff members don't want to micromanage. They want to just play, not wade through any PM's with any semblence of politics. Still, some very regular players see certain staff very rarely. No biggie, except that we have some siblings playing on our accounts. Do you want anti-woody, anti-incit, anti-fugitive or anti-lois being able to invite whoever they think is cool? Of course not. Well, that's a problem when you have non-peon invitations and a limited staff. The answer is to invite a couple more staff who are level headed, or to switch to peon inviting. But that request is not the same as drama, inter-player politics, being rank-driven, or whatever. It's a simple request to have all players get open access to all staff, whether that requires a change in who is staff (and I can think of a few people who are mature enough to be staff and are on when others aren't).

Still, I say things are fine as-is (provided ATDT changes the setup to inviting peons).

well put SuperJerms. This is exactly how I feel about it. If you have to grab random people to play with a full group of 8, play big team. Thats what its there for.

Dude, I am just surprised that you people didn't just post here that you wanted Ubercado invited to the clan. I play pretty frequently, and I do try to check my audio/text messages as much as possible on XBL, but it's not like it's impossible to contact me!

I never thought it was that big a deal, so I just waited to see a staff person (and I assumed someone had already pm'ed someone...I think Rood tried to fix it once).
