Hey Katherine. Not sure why this issue of Halo2 playing turned into an unfiction in general sort of discussion. But as it did, I am curious as to why you feel this way? Personally I only know of one post that was erased- which had to do with an op from a chat room- other than spam that we seem to attract, and I have been here for almost 2 years now. I specifically recall one post that attacked me personally, and the moderators generally, that wasn't removed. Actually, when the poster subsequently tried to delete the post by editing it out, the text was added back. The thread that had built up around it would otherwise have been incomprehensible. So rather than deleting posts criticizing them, the moderators insisted that a negative opinion should remain on the board.

As I have no evidence that supports your assertion, I was wondering your information/attitude is coming from.

As for ARGs never amounting to much, I would be very happy to place a small wager with you on that proposition and give you very fair odds. Very Happy

Anyways, I don't know about everyone else playing clan, but I like playing clan because the people there are much better then me, and by playing people better then me, I naturally pick up their tactics and gain skill myself. I could care less about my Btb rank, I've got four other ranks higher then it.
As I've said, I only care about my Rumble preview rank, which will be gone in a few weeks anyways. My one big deal is people keep assuming I do it to preserve my big team rank, when my rank is all low anyways.
Look, I do it mainly to better my skills, and it has the side bonus of not joining me up with random idiots, so where's the big deal? When I keep losing in clan, I don't get pissed off anywhere near as much as repeatadly losing in other gametypes, because I expect everyone in that playlist to be better then me.

Rose: Hear Hear on ARGs, etc. Smile I find your post to be quite true.

Tiny: I do care about your feelings, you were a beekeeper, and that'll always be true. You felt like you had put in a simple request - I felt like you were being harsh with me without explaining your position, and I don't react well to that.

Krystyn: my abject and sincerest apologies! What I would have said if I'd taken the time to actually recall is that you and I were talking about what a good idea it would be to start up a midwest clan, and we all debated names, and once the name was decided upon, I was first to get on XBL. I made you staff without asking, and I think you've done a fine job with things, including the Peon bit. If you're ever looking for some small-game fun, buzz me and I'll hop on. It doesn't always have to be 16-player.

Yes, I'm the creator of the clan, No, I don't think that makes any difference to me or anyone else. I created staff from some of the most frequent and level-headed posters in the forums, without asking, and all has been well for 9 months.

I agree with Krystyn that it can be hard to get a word in edgewise, and while sometimes I like playing CTF, I miss the fun games of team slayer, which is why I've spent my time doing that in matchmaking instead of accepting your invites to CTF. That and I still don't have a mic. Please don't stop inviting me, though, matchmaking STILL sucks compared to you guys.

Here is the deal. I'll be happy to turn people back into members. I don't know who originally invited Tsuki or if she's been ejected from the clan, but if so, I'd like her back, simply because she is on and in the lobby with clan members every single day, she's always been nice when I've been around, so I think she deserves to be an exception.

Other than her and established friends-of-beekeepers, we should NOT HAVE NON-BEEKEEPERS IN THE CLAN. If you want to join another clan in order to play clan games with certain people, I'm all for it, but don't muddy up our games with people who don't understand us, and won't have fun with our group dynamic.

Consider making more than one party game when people are on - a more serious one, and a more light-hearted one. We often have a good 6 to 20 people on, every night, so that shouldn't be difficult.

We can all be friends about this, it isn't hard. I started this thread because I do care about the opinions of the group, and because as far as I'm concerned, we're beekeepers first, and evade members second. I can't go have coffee with krystyn every day, or go bowling with jinxie or cj, but I CAN stick a pretty ball of cotton-candy-esque doom on their backsides.

To sum up, I'm going to make everyone full members again, in a moment. I ask that you not invite people to our clan that didn't play, follow with interest, or join our friendly group shortly thereafter. Temporarily join someone else's clan, instead. I'm not interested in Administratin', I don't think our group needs it, but if we run into some problems (including people being in our clan that no one knows), let me know, and I'll resolve them. I am and have always been available for PM, AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, Email, Unfiction, and XBL message (though I can't reasonably reply there right now.)

I think we've said all that we can on this topic. Thanks to all of you who've put in your two cents (or ten); even if the drama made you crazy and made you want to jump ship, it was important we talk this through. Still friends?

PS, if a staff member wants to lock this post, I do think we've gotten all of the useful life out of it that we can. Let's get back to gaming.
