[UPDATE] Sentinel - August 15th

Restructure Robbed, Security Chief Wanted
By CHO KAPLAN

The Restructure Gallery lost at least PCL120 million of stock in a daring Saturday night heist. Among the missing items is the famous Fiona Rincente painting, "Hands of Nature," as well as significant collections by modern artists Nina Waterbury and Alex Ramirez. Police are searching for Julian Guthries, the art gallery's director of security, in connection with the theft.

Police chief Eoin Morgan said that the building's security systems are being reviewed by department specialists, but that the nature of the theft looks very much like an inside job. "The security systems appear fully functional, and nothing was disabled," Morgan told reporters. "In fact, whoever did this had the cheek to set the alarm systems to active again on the way out."

Morgan said the evidence indicates that a team of gallery employees with high-level security access began to clean out the gallery starting minutes after closing time Saturday night. "It looks like the thieves hand-picked the most high-value items they could pack into a vehicle," he said. Morgan believes it is unlikely that the culprits are still in Perplex City borders.

Vianne Powell, owner of the Restructure Gallery, said that she is "devastated by this betrayal." She said that the thieves picked a time when the gallery had a much larger-than-normal stock of high-value artwork, in preparation for a number of upcoming private auctions.

John Ha of the Ha Gallery expressed deep sympathy over Vianne Powell's situation. "In the business, we all know any security situation is only as good as your personnel," he said. "This could happen to anybody. ... Julian had a stellar record until now." He indicated that he hoped to be receiving a list of the specific artworks stolen within the week, in order to alert the police if any of them should be offered for sale.

Anyone with information on the theft, or on the whereabouts of Julian Guthries, Laurie Hobarton, or Oskar Deegan should alert the police immediately.

By Madame Bianca, for the week of August 15

The Dragon (August 11 - September 10)
It's natural to want to overindulge on a special day, but I promise you're going to feel so the rat's tail the next day. Use a little forethought and try to make sure you're not going to have any strenuous demands while you recuperate.

The Three Balls (September 11 - October 10)
You are positively steaming hot this week, darling. The hair, the clothes, the flair, it all falls together for you like a finished jigsaw. Take advantage and have a new portrait done.

The Dice (October 11 - November 10)
This is a lucky week for you to plan a picnic at Creation Park; say, Friday in the early evening. Bring lots of wine and cheese, and be prepared to share with other Dice -- oh, and bring your own deck of cards, because you Dice do tend to forget these things.

The Maze (November 11 - December 10)
Sorry to say, looks like your key is going to malfunction this week. Just when you had it comfy, too. Sorry, duckling, but it isn't your week for tech. Check your data caches before it's too late.

The Apple-Thief (December 11 - January 10)
Summer's kiss may touch your neck and lead your sleepy head astray; but cool and thought are yet in reach, for golden autumn's on her way.

The Hand (January 11 - February 10)
You'll be cursing your fine immune system this week. It's going to keep you from getting that nasty thing that's hitting your office, sure, but it means you're the only one around to do all of the, you know, work. Better cancel that date, since there's no way you'll get there on time.

The Baby (February 11 - March 10)
Your flatmate is throwing a party for when you have plans this week, and no, you aren't invited. If I were you, button, I'd throw one of those famous tantrums. Oh, and maybe start looking for a new flatmate.

The Eagle (March 11 - April 10)
Promise me not to wrap any presents yourself. I don't care how long the line is, stay for the complimentary gift-wrapping at the store. Otherwise you're going to be an embarrassment to yourself, and frankly, also to me.

The Spider (April 11 - May 10)
You're fuzz-headed and overwrought toward the end of this week. Nothing in specific to blame, just not yourself, kitten. You shouldn't watch anything sad with anyone you don't want seeing you sobbing your poor, red eyes out.

The Wave (May 11 - June 10)
That idea you've had scratching at the back of your brain is just about baked, sweet pea. It's about time for you to write it all out and then make with the ambition and initiative. Sky's the limit unless you don't try!

The Archer (June 11 - July 10)
You are going on a long journey. No, I swear, you are. I know it's trite, but I have to call it like I see it, so stop your eyes before they roll right out of your head.

The Half-filled Jug (July 11 - August 10)
Try your hand at some domestic pastimes for a few days. Especially try to make some berry pies before the season is gone. It's not particularly lucky for you or anything, but everybody likes a good berry pie, right?

And remember, goodness speaks softly, but evil bellows.

I'm wagering PCL200 that they were connected to the Cube theft somehow (either Recons, Recon assistants, or the mysterious Third Organization[TM]).

Isn't Violet a dragon
I wonder when her birthday is, I can't find it on her blog, or on the wiki

The police station, maybe, to destroy evidence?

The prison, to spring convicted criminals?

A bank, to steal money?

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

I'm surprised noone else has picked up on this one:

Aiko had a display up at the Retructure (which apparently wasnt stolen). So it seems quite possible she has a modus operandii: get pieces displayed somewhere, get high level access to an area, then break in. looks pretty bad fFor her, I'd say.

But then again, I also sort of think Aiko is a_pawn of cruel misfortune and had nothing to do with the heist at all -- er, neither heist.
