Gawd that looks an awful lot like the Plaza in Front of the Lory Center at CSU... but then, People from other schools could probably say that too.

quote from the letter from the Prez:
a new virtual library. A top rated research facility would be nowhere without a top library and New River is fortunate to have both an excellent physical collection of key and diverse works, as well as a cutting edge virtual library of resources that are available to all students and faculty with the click of a mouse.

Or maybe the message is directed at Reggie. Doesn't he access the internet from the library?

magesteff: We don't even know who god is Reggie
xover222: someone does
xover222: he will be angry with me when he finds me in the library
Or am I confused? I can't seem to follow all this anymore

There are several other updates:
1. The endowments page (http://www.nru.us/endowments.htm ) has been updated, adding the entry "Sean Stacey, Portland OR"
2. The table of organization (http://www.nru.us/too.htm ) has been updated. You can access this from the "Administration" link on the main page. Now, each entry in the organization chart is a link to a bio about the administrator.
NOTE to PMs: The link for Linda Matthews (http://www.nru.us/lmathews.htm ) is broken. I found the page instead at http://www.nru.us/administration/lmathews.htm .
Since I'm at work I haven't had time to digest this all and determine if it's just more background info, or if something more important lies in all the changes...

update: NRU I glanced through the Administration organization chart on break. My first impression is that there's a lot of military experience in this group. The president (Dennis Chadworth), Robert Paulson, and Jeff Barker all have a military background or a background as a civilian contractor for the military. It strikes me as a little much, even for a technical university. <P>
I'm specing but if I were an administrator with strong ties to the military, the idea of getting my hands on the patents of something like a time-travel machine or whatever the hell they were building Sverdlosk, would be really tempting. Universities either own the patents for technology developed at their university or they share the patents with the scientist who developed them. A really good military tech patent could make NRU a nice chunk of change and bring additional research funds to the university from the military or maybe DARPA.

UPDATE: NRU Trout me if someone else said this.
For what its worth (maybe nothing): "Robert Paulson" on the Administration page is a reference to the movie "Fight Club."
Blond guy: "In death, members of Project Mayhem HAVE a name. His name is Robert Paulson."
Other space monkeys (chanting): "His name is Robert Paulson. His name is Robert Paulson. His name is Robert Paulson..."

Question: Copyright (possible trout) http://www.nru.us/letter.htm
I may be trouting someone here... and sorry if I do...
But did anyone else notice the copyright year on the bottom of the page is 2002 ? Given that the Fock Center didn't open until this year, 2003 , I gotta wonder....

Not trout, but I think you might be off-base on this one. That's a default copyright footer that appears on every page. I don't think it is at all tied to the letter itself. The letter was posted on the site, and since that copyright is added to every HTML page, it looks as if the letter is from 2002, but it's not.
Hopefully that makes sense...
