If you can read this it's really my last hope. We cant escape we have tried many times but have suffered for it.
We don't know where we are its gloomy and the ocean is unforgiving. I don't know what to do they are too strong….
Please do what you can.
Ryan

Faaaantastic! I love updates. So we have a new player in the mix now: Ryan. I didn't receive this email myself yet. I wonder who all got it? I notice that on the www.pemesent.com page that the 'Osmoore Estates' picture now has a rollover effect. The picture of the building front turns into a picture of a typewriter keyboard (manual style) overlayed with a piano keyboard. Maybe a suggestion of a 'key' being somewhere there?
Muddy
*edit* I did get the email, was hidden in my junkmail folder.

The Fact of the Day is also new I believe:

Pemesent is
14 metre's above
sea level.
Which also ties in with all these 'ocean' references.

okay so who was lied to?
zoe or leo?
and where is that hole in the seaside cliff?
Quote:
Robinson Crusoe Island is a desolate, rugged extinct volcano that sits in the Pacific Ocean about 400 miles west of Valparaiso, Chile. Its 40 square miles of surface rise precipitously out of the ocean and peaks at just over 3,000 feet (915 meters). The island now has a population of about six hundred people, who mostly survive by trapping lobsters.
hmm?

*edit* Just realized Automaton detailed the location of the links - sorry :p
Possible we're dealing with some kind of Beale cipher, and now we know the text? Does the keyboard rollover help us find the key?
Also, we seem to be being led to study optical illusions. The impossible triangle cubes on the main www.imfriendly.co.uk page, the new illusion site, and the cubist sculptures are all leading down this path. In fact, I expected to see some perspective illusions on the illusions page, and was surprised not too. Maybe significant?

No problem Mudbrother. I should probably specify that the link is tied to 'ews'. The N could very well be significant.
And it's good to know Ryan still has access to e-mail, even when in a gloomy place near the ocean!

Some more thoughts:
After looking at the illusions page, the thing that stands out to me is the second chromatic adaptation illusion, with the cyan filtered photograph. This reminds me of the green filtered skyline photo on the original Zoe's blog page. Dunno if there is any connection, but I emailed the folks a the illusion site to see if they might have any insights.
Also, did anyone notice the little hidden flash program on the pemesent page? Didn't realize till I got home that the pemesent page now has audio. The little flash (bg.swf) creates the audio. Very strange, reminds me of the video on the /leo666 page, the beginning of the music there. May just be my imagination.
*edit* You Londoners probably knew this already, but the picture of the fountain comes from Trafalgar square, I managed to find the exact one, I think:
http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~raffee/london-pictures/London.jpg
I also decompiled the summer.swf file to get a better look at the picture of the seaside mountain there. I'm including it for you guys to study as well.

i also emailed the illusions folks
we will see if that brings anything new
and i can also report that the pic
is not the "robinson crusoe" cave..
that cave has a thatched "gilligan's island"
looking construction in front of it
and the rocks and seaweed in our pic do not
resemble the beach in chile... but i
did note that alexander selkirk (crusoe)
did return to scotland after his adventure
and lived in Lower Largo.. a rocky fishing
town.. i'm going thru photos now...
yeah, i saw the black frame in the flash but
i haven't gone back to check it out yet but
i will in a few.. there must be something there

I decompiled the small flash as well. It is only an audio player. Doesn't seem to be any mystery there... except for what the audio represents.
