Well, for whatever it's worth, suddenly a "Paul_Probo" has been spotted logging in to the official Serenity boards, an account only just registered. The two possibilities, of course being: One, it's a fan messing with us just because; or two, it's someone setting something up for the marketing campaign.

Some of them do (it was a thing with The Beast, wasn't it?), but it's not a rule or anything. A lot of ARGs tend to be more relaxed about that sort of stuff.

Updating on Tuesday and Friday is a 4orty2wo thing. They did it in ILB, too. But as Omnie points out, a lot (probably even "most") ARGs don't necessarily follow a regular update schedule.

Personally I'm kinda leaning toward calling ourselves the "Broken Time Rock People."

And, since Mutant Enemy first made Firefly, if the game develops further we should call it the "Grr-ARG." Laughing

 		FYI, a member of my Session 416 Yahoo! group claims to have found a "tam_session1" on Limewire -- although no one else appears to have found it, and he didn't describe what happens in it.

Coincidentally (?), the Summer Glau fansite who got tipped off to the first clip by a "Paul Probo" now reports that this "Paul Probo" has contacted them again.

I can't see how these two semi-simultaneous events would be unrelated.

Edit: Oh, forgot that also the original clip location at IFILM now gives a 404 not found error, although it is still listed in their index of viral videos.

That is really, really odd. I am sure that people are already scouring for tam_session1, and obviously, nothing has come up. I am also on the line of thought that this is either a prank/jerk messing with us, or a plant to get us looking actively again. Though, the Summer website does say they were contacted, and most likey in the same way they were contacted before, so that has to be legit. Is it time to start sending out random e-mails with paul_probo or paulprobo at everything.com?

At this point I tend to agree, especially since this new person -- who just joined up on various lists and boards within the past 24 hours -- hasn't bothered to describe what clip it is he claims to have.

 		Ok, here's the deal.

THis is definitely a viral marketing campaign, as I now have another clip, this one for "Session 1 Excerpt" (as opposed to "Session 416, Second Excerpt").

My server at home is dragging with the weight of people downloading it, so if anyone here can offer to mirror it, IM me on AIM or Yahoo! (theonetruebix on both) and I will email it to you directly.

This new clip features an Academy official, played by Joss, interviewing River, played by Summer, about attending the Academy.

 		The mysterious "John Dowses" who appeared all over the place today saying he had it emailed it to me.

"John Dowses" of course anagrams to "Joss Whedon" )not that it's Joss, but certainly meant to indicate we should pay attention when this person says something, heh.)
