Awesome, questions though:
Where did we get the link for the newsletter and the password/username; and does the crossword give us anything?

I've tried to see if there's something hidden inside the crossword. I've tried ROTing the letters not used, ROTing the whole thing, looking for hidden words inside. Going to try doing a letter-by-letter analysis, trying to find any hidden message based on a "every X letter" code...
So far nothing, but I'm just the newbie. I'm guessing someone will find something hidden in there and make me look like an arse. Ah well, it's fun to look. ^_^

Lol, this newsletter is hilarious... there's a "Lost, the receda cube" ad in there linking to perplexcity.com Also, the remark about all the Name That Rock entries being cheesy is teh funny
Fish, check out this thread to see how enaxor brought us here.

Hi Guys, possibly not relevant, but I noticed the words PRAYSOON in the middle of the crossword. Do we think there could be more to this crossword than what we already know?

Do you guys think that the crossword gives us a visual clue as opposed to a coded message? Free your mind, take some hallucinogens, and squint at the layout of the leftover letters. There's a definite circle-type shape in the middle, and four lines out of it on the diagonal.
So let's turn out the lights and commence the stabbing! Maybe this is a diagram of the station, with one base and four attached... uh... mini-bases? (I guess they're not "outposts" if they're attached... but one of you must know what I mean.)
*off to pursue ridiculous theory #23*

I've tried decoding these letters in all ways possible - both vertically (going up to down from leftmost column to right) and horizontal (going left to right from topmost column to bottom) and have still found nothing. I really don't think that there is anything here. At least nothing I could find.

The Index of Coincidence value is .0361. Plaintext is normally .0667, and random text is .0385. Some ciphers mask the index of coincidence by more evenly distributing letters, but there doesn't seem to be any indication of that in this puzzle. (If it is one.) It's not simple substitution, at least.

Names Here are the names I have gleaned from the Newsletter:
Igor Bronco
Trane Sturon (restaurant manager)
Coffee Klatch with Crappert ? Happened 8-1-2005
Ingrahausen (Present at Ice cream social 8-18-2005)
Dean Illia
Male, Maldives (I assume the address where the elevator touches Earth)
Shear Thing (Orbital Hair Salon)
Road to the Styles Magazine
Nicole (Escort service?)
Trane Sturon's name stands out to me. I have tried messing with the letters and got: Saturn Toner, Roster at Nun, and Restauront N.
Coffee Klatch with Crappert is what happens when you down too many Eye Opener's at Starbucks and the diuretic kicks in. Those of you who have Klatched know what I am talking about.
I also wonder about the numbers in the blue did you know box.
[EDIT] Okay, I did some searching and found out that this is a klatch.

Trane Sturon is also an anagram of Earn No Trust...
Dean Illia is an anagram of Dial Alien...
Apologies for the lack of any real direction here...

Good Jorb Thunderwolf!
I believe Dean Illia is actually:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
your friend and mine: AlienDial.
I think the PM's in training are hinting at their identities with scrambled ID's. Do we know which Unfictionistas are behind the curtain?
Still no luck on the word search. Dean seems to be pointing to his head or his eyebrow or something. I tried a substitution cipher key head and brow with the remaining letters of the word search to no particular avail.
I recall a word search puzzle in Our Colony whose solve had nothing to do with the circled letters, but was just every other letter in the inner square. I can't find the image of that to post here though.
The letters that get hit twice in solving the puzzle are PNOORN

[Puzzle] Numbers in Classifieds a code? I think there might be a code in the Classifieds section on the newsletter.
"To inquire about an ad, use your OrbiComm to dial the number shown."
the numbers shown are:
078 095 013 103 088 112 103 103 055 037
This might be ten digits, like a telephone number ?!!?
The #2 is mentioned a lot in the classifieds, dont know what that means tho.
What do you think, is it possible this is a code? I think Seth and Steven might need our help!!!!!1!
Tks,
