[Puzzle] #014 - Red - Cracked Crackers

THE PEOPLE OF PERPLEX CITY ARE FASCINATED BY EARTH CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS. THIS YEAR, A LEADING FIREWORK MANUFACTURER IN THE CITY HAS PRODUCED A NEW LINE, BASED ON AN OLD BRTISH TRADITION - FESTIVE CRACKERS. UNFORTUNATELY, THE CRACKER JOKES HAVE BECOME SEPARATED FROM THEIR PUNCHLINES! WITHOUT EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF EARTH TRIVIA, THE PERPLEX CITIZENS CAN'T WORK OUT HOW TO PUT THEM BACK TOGETHER.

CAN YOU IDENTIFY WHICH JOKE GOES WITH WHICH ANSWER?

As the questions and answers are unnumbered, has anyone worked out how we will be supposed to enter the answer to this card without typing in all the questions and answers? (I realise this is academic until that section of the site is live, but I'm hoping that won't be too much longer!!)

At the risk of being severely Trouted I'm going to have to play the dense American here.

By process of elimination I've managed to work out the riddle which has the answer of M.T.G.G.. I'm even able to figure out that the first two letters refer to the word Empty. I just don't get the G. G. part. Mebbie it's funnier in England. Wink

'GG' is a slang term for a horse. I have no idea why.

However I've been told:

Quote:
I think it's from 'gee up' as in 'get a move on you fucking flea bitten donkey'

and

Quote:
i'm told it comes from the irish...

What ever that means.
