[INTERACTION] Eclipse Security System - Live Tech Help Phone Okay, here's the deal with my 'phone call:
Operator: Eclipse Security, how may I help you?
Me: Hello, this is PFC Walker with the 255th UNSC Marine Battalion. We are considering setting up a datastore at Ascendancy Point, but we're kind of concerned about the possibility of data leaks. (I said something about "sensitive military data," but can't remember what offhand.)
Operator: Ah, well, you'd need to speak with my manager about setting up the datastore, but I can tell you that the severity of the data leaks is not very high. (I think he said something about it mainly being maintenance data and such, with a very low risk of cutsomer-stored information being leaked.)
Me: Ah, I see. Well, thank you for your time.
Operator: Not a problem sir. Have a nice day!
Me: I'll try!
EDIT - split from previous ESS topic to provide location for specific information regarding phone interactions - SG

ME: Hi there, I'm looking to expand my security access. According to your site I need to contact AP tech support to make such a change
HIM: I can't allow that sort of thing without authorisation. - I can see you are not using your key to contact us.
ME: What sort of authorisation do you need?
HIM: You need to contact my supervisor, Alex Mitchell and give him a copy of Form 2980 - Its a User Authorisation Form.
ME: OK, thankyou for your time, I'll be in touch.

manager i was told to speak to the manager - alex mitchell - from my conversation. maybe call again and ask to speak to him. if we can get a password, maybe login as alex mitchell gives greater access?

key directory to improve security access you need to fill out a form 2980 which you can get from alex warner - but only way to access him is to look him up in the key directory - what and where is that?

INTERACTION: a little further ME: Alex Mitchell, please.
HIM: I'm afraid I can't put you through from here. Is this for a user authorisation form?
ME: Yes, that's right.
HIM: Well, you could also speak to Rajiv Warner about that. He should be able to help you.
ME: Great, could you put me through?
HIM: Well, normally all of this would go through a key. I notice you don't have one. What happened to it?
ME: Er... It got damaged in the wash.
HIM: Hmm. Strange that. They're completely waterproof.
ME: It was a particularly vigorous detergent.
HIM: Ah. Acidic, perhaps.
ME: Yep.
HIM: Right. Well best of luck getting that authorisation.
Click - brrrrr.
D'oh - better have a plausible excuse at the ready if you want to get through to Rajiv....

here's the deal first of all, we can't get form 2980 w/o a key. he won't email or fax it.
second of all, we have to get the form from mitchell or warner.
third of all, we can't get patched through to them by him--he's 'not a switchboard,' he said.
instead, we have to call them directly.
what i did not ask is how to access the directory or if i could just have their numbers directly. duh!

hmm I just got through on the UK number, I pretended to be Alex Warner. I said I'd had a problem and lost my key and needed to be granted temporary keyless access codes. He said I should use the keyless codes I was previously given... He said it was a catch 22 without a key or a keyless access code.
Doh!
I guess this means we should have worked out a keyless access code frmo somewhere else in game, but I've only been in game for a couple of weeks so am not fully up to speed, but I think we've collectively missed something. and we need to work it out quickly!!

more stuff . . . okay, their 'numbers' are only accessible through a key. the directory is only accessible through a key. according to this guy, we can't get to them if we don't have a key.
however, he said, "look, if you want to talk to one of them, you'll have to find someone with a key. get them to talk with one of them about the form. then you can call me back, tell me what they said, and i'll see what i can do to help you."
and i said, "right. so how do i find someone with a key?
him: "sir, everyone has a key. it's really a bit of strange question you're asking."
end of conversation.
stay awake,
m

Perhaps we should ask Violet or Scarlett to request a form for us?
