pacman binary code!

follow the cherry pattern from TimHortons' link above. dots represent 1's and missing dots represent 0's. Doing the section from the start to the point where you're suppposed to go up the left side gives:

01110011011010000111100100100000011011110110111001100101

which is binary for "shy one". (i think the rest of the dots are gibberish. didn't mess around with it much so not sure). The supposedly shy ghost in pacman is the light blue one named Inky.

in the source, each piece is named with (X,Y) coordinates. Center each piece on the coordinates that it's named after and you get a picture of a rabbit of bunny. Leads to:

http://www.soogees.com/s2/tangrams/bunny or http://www.soogees.com/s2/tangrams/rabbit

both then onto: http://www.soogees.com/s2/littlecomputerpuzzles/

Moris code should be

A B C C B A

also upon entering these /elfdbn

The correct string on the monitor is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ONYYNQ
which is BALLAD in ROT-13.
You get the same message as with the other two.

That's as far as everyone got.

it's sort of a one time pad where you add the letters together:

A B C C B A = 1 2 3 3 2 1
B A L L A D = 2 1 12 12 1 4
E L F D B N = 5 12 6 4 2 14

adding the A B E (1, 2, 5) gives 8 or "H". so on.... gives "HOUSES"

first thoughts

Nice on the Rot -13. I wouldnt have thought of that.

The first thing it see about placement.
its 26 by 26... rotated 4 times. So each quadrant is an identical
26 by 26 set of points.

perhaps we could use these Coordinates as letters. and perhaps go from there?

placement

Also. each quadrant has 26 'points' Ill calculate these in numerical format and fix letters to each and see what i get.

points

Here is the point list
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

(1, 22) (1, 26)
(2, 2 )
(3, 6 ) (3, 26)
(4, 17)
---5---
(6, 12)
---7---
(8, 1Cool (8, 22)
(9, 5 ) (9, 11)
(10, 21)
(11,16)
(12,7 )
(13,7 ) (13,15)
(14,24) (14,25)
---15---
---16---
(17,24)
(18,19)
(19,15)
(20,4 )
(21,20)
(23,5 ) (23,16)
(25,10)

I listed them by row, "---#---" indicates a row with no points
I was pondering converting each row and column into letters.
But it didnt make much sense doing that. i would assume each
coordinate will take some calculation before a letter is determined.

I didnt number the points either because really who can say which point
is first, and how order is determined. its clearly important that
there are 26 points, but the meaning isnt clear to me.

Im just doing busy work cause im hoping it will help.

People in chat noticed that if you cut the grid, each quarter will be the same if rotated. If you substitute letters for each highlighted square in the upper left quarter, it will look like this (attached).

--------EDIT--------

I thought that maybe the correct rotation would be starting with the 1st quadrant mathematically (which is the top right one), so I'm attaching that too.

I thought the quarter grid looked like a Vigenere Table, so I plotted each coordinate for the highlighted squares. Each is done with the paper in an upright position.

TL Quad--RNYLCSPLNOYGIZVGMXAIFXRWD
TR Quad--ACSPSELOAYPMUGXDTXNEFWDRPY
BL Quad--ZJHVCTUKBFVBSEMJAYKNUGJKWY

I thought it should be noted for people who haven't been in chat, that the page title for http://www.soogees.com/s2/placement/ has changed a couple of times; "placement"--->"a simple rule"--->"just a siimple rule, just one grid".

might be useful for visualisation porpoises - ive joined the dots on each line (2 dots on each) -same for the columns - will measure these distances next. edits: taking 1 = a 2=b etc, the first few lines from the top give "avcjfbxezakg" also known as gibberish
