Re: Ten Digit #

078 095 013 103 088 112 103 103 055 037

I don't know if this is of any significance but I noticed that the beggining of each number either begins with a "0" or a "1." This is what it is:

0001011100

I also tried numerology on the number and I got 654 as the first three numbers. I looked it up and there's no such area code for the US. Since 103 repeats 3 times I think that 103 is a different number from 055, so I ruled out numerology.

Ok, in octal it translates to "Ah"

It's possible those numbers are a code. It's also possible that they are just taking off from other classified sites where you get a mailbox # that people can reply to (and so they can't start stalking you or whatnot).

If it was a code, my first guess would be ASCII, but that just gives some garbage. Personally, I'm leaning more towards ambiance than hidden messages (but I've been wrong before when it comes to puzzles).

Dean Illia also anagrams into "Dial a line".
Anyone got any ideas on how to further develop the Orbicomm reference.
I'm thinking these numbers could equate to message extensions if we had a number to dial or page names/links on the site.

Sort of like how your name anagrams into "orbicon.org"? ;P

Or is it "I, borg Conor"?!? Conor is my name... Maybe my evil robo-clone posted!

We need a shifty-eyed paranoid emoticon...

Or I just didn't get enough sleep last night.

I have been trying to find something in the newsletter and so far I am stumped. I think these 10 sets of #'s are important but i can't find anything.
I tried a matrix style row and column count in the word maze - nothing
I tried to convert to Braille - groups of 2 wide by 3 high - nothing
I tried every decode method I know if of on the remaining letters from the word search. - nothing
I tried to find a pattern on the OrbiComm personal ads - nothing.
<rats>
I think the name anagram is interesting. The Restaurant managers name is Trane Sturon (very suspicous) which almost anagrams to "No Restaurnt" (notice the missing last 'a'). Not sure if that is anything...
I really think there has to be a message hidden in this newsletter!
Things i stay awake and wonder about:
- do the #'s 68 and 64(%) from the "Do you know section" on page one mean anything?
- why does "Dean" look so odd, almost worried, in his picture?
- although i ran all the anti-stenography methods i know of on the .jpg's on the web site, could there still be hidden data?
- Does the fact that there really is a "Star Building" in Male', Maldives mean anything?

Oh well, i will keep looking....

I really don't think so. And if he will claim that he is - I will still be in highest doubt.

Just playing and wanted to see what kind of a reaction it'd generate. Twisted Evil

Has anyone looked at the "Technology" page for clues?
The last three paragraphs include numeric values that could equate to base conversion factors/values. I can't remember how to do conversions, anymore but am wondering what would happen if say, we converted 2394 from Base 10 to base 38 or C2768b from base 38 to base 10 Question
The fact that they use the word "Based" in the title of one of the paragraphs and decade within another gets me going that direction.
I couldn't find any semiconductor or microwave devices with part numbers like those listed on the page. I checked NTE, ECG, Phillips and RCA.

Running with your conversion idea here is what I got...don't know if it means anything at all though. If you arrange certain strings it kind of starts to look like a phone number but who knows.

C2768b convert b38 to b10 = 955385371
2394 convert b10 to b38 = 1[25]0
c2394 convert b38 to b10 = 25136054
2768 convert b10 to b38 = 1[34][32]
C2768bC2394 convert b38 to b10 = 75700120401063360
C2394C2768b conver b38 to b10 = 75683060494174100

FWIW Dunno

Thanks, rain.
The decimal to b38 looks promising Idea
For the same non alpha values to come up in both conversions would a HUGE co-inky-dink.
Is there some standard alphabet for b38 that drove the two punctuation characters to be perfect opening and closing brackets Question
Like, for Base 36, the overwhelming choice for order is:
"0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ"
Frankly, if there were punctuation, I'd expect it to be period and comma
or:
"0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.,"

You know, looking at it again, I see what's going on.
What letter values would 25, 34 and 32 equate to in your B38 schema Question
I'm guessing they'd be "o", "x" and "v:, respectively, which gives us diddly.
Oh well... Bang Head

Looking at the crossword I see an S that is circled but doesn't seem to be a part of any of the words.

Also, I see an item "SKYISTHELIMIT" on that list. I thought Orbicon's slogan was that the sky is NOT the limit?

Ideas?
