Serve with a side of hot air and inflated egos for the true troll experience.

Ozy is good for both the hot air and the inflated ego, I think, now we just need to find a way to package it all up nicely and deliver it on a plate on the arm of a buxom young lady with a skirt proportionately as short as her top is low cut, so Ozy gains full appreciation of the effort that went into his meal...

Edit: I forgot to mention, I'm sure if we could get some Humble pie on the menu for desert, Ozy would be most appreciative..

Woah-ho-ho! A whopping welcome? That is sweet. I feel so nifty now ^_^.

Yeah, I pulled a couple of them out and my dad chopped them up and fried them and put some garlic stuff on them. I think it took some of the flavor away, but I nearly choked on the stuff anyway >.< Blasted things! My other idea was of making turnip marmelade and dropping it off at a thrift store. But you know, label it something different. Mwuahahaha.

Cajun-baked turnip

Ingredients

2 lbs. white turnip, peeled and diced
6 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced medium
1 tsp. whole grain mustard
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaf
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaf
1/4 cup distilled apple cider
1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs

Method

Cook turnip pieces in lightly-salted water until just tender. Drain and set aside.

Melt butter in heavy-bottomed skillet, add diced bell pepper, and sauté until the pepper is tender.

Combine mustard, brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, thyme, and basil with the apple cider and blend with a fork. Add this mixture to the sautéed bell pepper.

Toss mixture with the blanched turnip in an oven casserole. Sprinkle the whole wheat bread crumbs on top and bake in a 375° oven for about 20 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and the turnip is to a desired tenderness.

Razz

Aunt Whiteadder: Wicked child! Mashing is also the work of Beëlzebub! For Satan saw God's blessed turnip, and he envied it! And mashed it, to spoil it's sacred shape. I shall have my turnip as God intended!
Blackadder: Fine! Baldrick!

Erm...sorry about that. I'll just go now and put the kettle on.
