BST = GMT -1

GMT +1. So I am posting this at 11.50 BST. GMT is 10.50.

Handy American saying that my wife taught me for daylight savings, "Spring forward, Fall back". So clocks go forward one hour in Spring, then back one hour to GMT in Autumn.

Well, we're taking the 21:30 - 22:00 timescale from the time on the heat sensor system aren't we? (I hope I have that right). This doesn't specifiy if it is using GMT or BST, so it could be that the recording system for the logs use GMT (or UT), and doesn't make any changes for BST.

In which case, something on the logs that would happen at 21:30 GMT would be 22:30 BST. But it does surprise me, as they have been pretty good about specifying time zones before.

Ok, for the sake of my sanity i have updated the wiki with the 3 non-duplicates from the above post and have edited some of the names in the sensor.names.props for you. Some of the people have more than one in their room so I couldn't include all the names, if someone else wants to do something about that feel free...

One thing that puzzles me, is why if TA has gone to so much trouble to protect her identity and fears for her life, is she trying to get us (in the guise of Pietro) to create data leaks that will reveal that very information? Unless i'm missing the point somewhere. Confused

I'm totally new at this (last month), and just learned how to crash the A/C system last night... Is it important that Evan Chan lives in Perplex City?

Not really, just an inside ARG joke of sorts - Evan Chan was murdered in the very first ever ARG which was for the movie AI - the game was called The Beast. The Hons were Cloudmakers (the players), hence the reference here.

There's a ton of info on The Beast, try a Google for if you're interested in your ARG history Smile

The Advisor gave her login information to Pietro so he could keep an eye on her, or check who is around her apartment:

The Advisor wrote:
I don't know why I'm telling you this except, I suppose, maybe the information could save your life. I have a backdoor hack into the Eclipse Security heat sensor system for the few floors around my apartment, as well as server room 4. Just in case. Just to see what's going on. Just to make sure I know who's here. Anyway. If you need it, it's there. You'll find it via the usual AP site, and the username and password should be obvious. Just in case.

So we were just using her login to get access to the heat sensors. The Advisor didn't have access to the air conditioning systems (not at that point). We found out that at certain times, using the A/C system could cause data leaks - which I don't think we knew exactly what they would be before we actually got some results.

Eclipse Security wrote:
However, if you are operating any of the AC subsystems manually, you may experience interruptions or business data leaks during periods when regular maintenance is being carried out by technicians in the server rooms.

The data leaks are probably not known to the Advisor, but they help us populate the unknown dots in the heat sensor logs.

HTH.
