Well, sorry Hova, Thx, and wasp, but it looks like I'll be leaving. It looks like some of the people here are exactly the same as people on other forums. Maybe I'll take my thoughts elsewhere where they are respected for making sense and where I am respected for being mature.

Sad

*sigh*

Carlo, what you're not getting here is that Ehsan's post was a parody.

Which is the reason for all the joking, all the comments, etc. We were trying to let you know, without telling you directly and being confrontational about it, that you were missing the point. That the post you were taking seriously was a joke. We thought you had gotten it, and that your original theory post, which was just as strained and torturous as Ehsan's satire, was in keeping with the satirical turn this thread has taken. When you didn't get it, and kept treating the subject seriously and insisting "oh, Ehsan hasn't cracked it!" after we gave you a link to Smirkbox, which says right across the top of the page that it's a humor site, well, did you notice everyone started using a lot more of these: Rolling Eyes ?

That was a clue. A clue that none of us were being serious about it.

Go look at Ehsan's other posts and compare the writing style. Rolling Eyes Parody.

Now, as far as maturity:

I'm certainly not going to attempt to force you to stay. But I will tell you this: making martyred noises about leaving because your Amazing Thoughts aren't respected is not exactly a widely-accepted hallmark of maturity. Realizing and accepting that you misunderstood the joke, on the other hand, is a good sign of it. (Also, for the record, anyone who actually claims to be mature generally loses some credibility.)

Now, we'll forgive you if you forgive us, yes? Smile

I respect your last thought. I would think the exact same thing if I was in your position.

Oh, it's not like this is the first time someone has threatened to leave this community and then posted about it.

Hope you find your comfort level, Carlo. I mean that sincerely.

In investigating this whole Magritte - font/artist thing, I remembered that our "MS informant" said: "nothing in the leafs, nothing in the trunk, and nothing in the floor.... but" "with this new hardware we would be able to do a next generation graphics including the vital SHADOWS and even new types of elements such as...." UT. Patience is what you need at this time of the year.NG" (source Xbox 360 News .com page)

This is another stab in the dark, i'm streching here, and like incit was saying maybe we are looking way too into this...i decided to look at the shadow the tree is casting on the floor. It wasn't very obvious until i saw this picture: Main Origen Site Pic. Blackened In And then it dawned on me. The whole area under the tree, that is the area the shadow falls on sort of looks like a cloud. And Magritte used clouds very often in his paintings (the few i've seen anyway). I looked around a little bit on google, but didn't really find much. Maybe someone else knows more about Magritte (or can research better); his symbols, and patterns - what do clouds mean/symbolize in his works? Maybe there is some sort of weird relation here?
[/crazy speculation]

Your image link doesn't work.
I'll try to do some research later on when I'm not so busy - should be interesting though.

At the current rate of 1.5625 pages per day, by the time the countdown is over, this thread should only be at a very manageable length of 59 pages.

And at the end of those 59 pages will be bill gates' picture and 'LOL' over and over.

"Human energy is always in communion with heaven and earth in the alteration of exhalation and inhalation."

I found that on THX's blog. If any of you remember one of the near last challenges on OurColony, a guy got up on some webcam and said human energy at noon. It was the answer to the challenge and one of xbox 360's ad campaigns.

Also, "Observe the plants and trees. Their foliage flourishes, then drops in late autumn, returning to the roots, as a natural pattern. Returning to the root, it does not die but regenerates come springtime. From this principle we can see that endless regeneration is the Way of nature, while returning to their roots is the inherent pattern of all living beings. Those who know the inherent pattern and do not violate the Way experience countless moments of clarity regardless of age. That is why in some of the ancient texts it is often written "real people breathe from their heels." The heels are synomonous with the root. During the three approaching months of winter, which is the season of return to the root, when you are ready, ... you should quietly nurture this." That came from THX's post b4 the previous one.

right now I'm having trouble loading all three url's. ODD!

http://vojir.com, it was mentioned earlier, but once every thing loads, it snaps to a pick of some type of Swiss Army Palm with Google on a browser.

http://www.origenxbox360.com/images/countdown/origen_tease_2_03.JPG

What I did there was view the source on the .com version of the site and copy/paste the file extension to the end of http://www.origenxobx360.com/images/countdown/. But wait, there's more!

If you take the directory and the file extension (origen_tease_2_03.JPG), and copy/paste it to your address bar you get this website.

http://www.thecountdownpage.com/

I'm sure it has to do with something. If you'll remember, OurColony linked to humanclock.com which showed different people displaying different times in odd ways. I'm guessing the two are connected, but as we say...you never know.

Well that sucks, i know it worked when i posted it, i double checked it. Here is a different version i made by clicking on a spot and dragging the mouse across...it highlights as if you are selecting text to copy.

The quality isnt the best, but I think you can see what i mean.

Magritte is the Font and also the name of a famous painter who did the man in the derby hat with the apple in front of his face. This was actually a painting done when Magritte was requested to paint a self-portrait. This could just be a homage to the artist or it could be telling us that the fruit is also hiding something.
