Okay, call me silly, but thinking the placement of the drawings on the cube might be a clue, I recreated the cube and laid it out flat and scanned it. I double checked the placement from what I could gather from the pics on the strangecube blog, and I know that there are several ways to lay out a cube in 2d, but following the picture placement had it coming out as a cross, instead of the "Z" looking figure I thought it would turn out to be (I was also grabbing straws thinking I'd find a link to the four z's.). But then again, my spatial reasoning isn't as spiffy as it used to be, and it just may be me.

If any of you guys think I've got it wrong, lemme know, thanks to the wonders of scotch tape, I can flip-flop everything around if need be, and excuse my crappy skills at the drawing recreation.

Maybe looking at it flat might ring a bell for one of you guys.

I was just looking on Omniglot at the conscripts to see if maybe i could find a correlation with some of the ciphers, and ran across a text example from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that said:

Withe, I believe you've got the cube right. Mine looks that except shifted over one square. That's an interesting find with the declaration of human rights. I wonder if any of the other art matches our cube?

Well mudbrother, I looked, and there are eye symbols mixed in almost every single one in one form or another, but none as prevalent as that one I posted, to be honest, until I saw our eye, I hadn't even been looking for anything like that. There was one more with a similar figure placement to #4, but no arrow or any other indicator to make it stand out, other than being placed a little more in the foreground than the others. The only other repetitive symbol I noticed right off the bat was the infinity symbol, but we haven't gotten anything to go on with that one. I'll have to study the other paintings more carefully, but a thorough once-over didn't make anything else jump out at me.

Also, I've been pondering the ciphers. #2 makes me think of a math matrix problem, the way it's laid out, but also makes me think of the "6 sides to the story only one is true" thing for some reason. Also, #6 reminds me of the shape of a semicircular area that's on the contact page, on the left side of the pic, I was actually able to fit #6 on there perfectly (it was just the right shape), but the "head" ran over and I scrapped that idea in the rubbish bin... I'm most likely waaay off on both of those, so take those with a grain of salt. I'm just mostly speculating right now.

The 2/6 reminds me of one of those optical illusions where all the crosses really are the same size (or pointing in the same direction or something). I'll see if I can find an image of what I'm talking about.
