Great job Ursos!

I don't know what's up with my excel though. When I first opened it up, I saw the binary numbers, but then they all went away. Like they have no reference to the other tabs. All I see now is #NAME?

Oh well, I'll keep playing with it, maybe I can get the references back.

Oh crap, I forgot to mention about that! I was getting the #NAME? thing too, and here's what you have to do to fix that:

Go to Tools --> Add Ins ... --> and pick the Analysis ToolPak to add, and hit "Ok."

You'll probably need your install disc on hand to get that loaded on, and once you do, you'll probably have to close the file and open it again. You don't need to restart or anything, just close and open again. THEN it should all look nice and orderly for ya. Sorry about that!

Wonderful! Thanks!!

Ok... I finished the translations. Here's an updated spreadsheet. I'll extract the results in a bit and put them on their own tab, but I need to take care of my daughter now.

Just to keep this up to date, since these puzzles were solved on SD-1.

The solution to the pretznoki puzzle is as follows:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Running the decoded hex through a translator located at www.omnifam.org/hex.php produces a jpeg in Tibetan, which translates into "76943" which is, of course, our next page. 76943.php

Solution to puzzle 4:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are letters hidden in the picture, leading us to power.php

Solution to Puzzle 5:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We still don't have all the pieces to this puzzle, but managed to work it out anyway. The 'quarrelling beauties three' are Hera, Athene, and Aphrodite, which leads us to apple.php

Solution to Puzzle 6:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The "cricket noises" in the background are the key. Making a spectogram of these noises presents a pattern that is actually braille. This leads to chrolditz.php

This takes us to puzzle 7, which is where we are stuck.

So far, we've tried the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
e-mailing cookiemonsterSPLATarcanum-ultor.com with pictures of cookies, trying to take ingredients from the four recipes to make a fifth cookie, believing that the picture of the cookie monster is a pixle hunting puzzle (that can't be viewed in IE), and researching a 'cookie virus,' but so far, we've had no luck

Now What?

Did everyone get this email? Does this mean that the game is on hold?

I thought I posted this earlier, but now can't find it.
Quote:
Operative,

Our sincere apologies for the lack of contact in the past weeks.
We ran into some operational difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances.

I'd like to thank you for the updates on your progress on the arcanum-ultor.com site. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any further assistance in this matter due to recent reassignment of resources.

Rest assured however that we have not forgotten about the WARN operatives. We may be requiring your invaluable assistence again soon.

Re: Now What?

The game isn't on hold, don't worry - I received an e-mail from Merritt Parker yesterday, and two from the Arcanum Ultor site since Omnifam sent that out. All are posted over at SD-1. The AU site was also updated with a clue, and we probably still have lots of puzzles to solve on that site.

Hopefully, this game won't die for a long time Smile

Re: Now What?

Karl solved Puzzle 7 over at SD-1

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
To do so, you need to download the cookie editor for Firefox. Under name, type in the name of the scrolling cookie, under content, the recipe, www.arcanum-ultor.com under 'host.' and 'chroldtiz2.php' under 'path.'

This leads to http://www.arcanum-ultor.com/ghfhg.php
