Happy Birthday, Alan! Smile

While I have no idea about the word that's resulting from the questions, I think I can say what happens to the word when it's passed into the food function (I wasn't able to put the code in a form which allows it to compile and therefore went about it manually).

Parsnip sorts the characters in the string in alphabetical order, Swede turns it around, thus bringing it into reverse alphabetical order. Turnip passes the string over to Potato which encodes it. Then Cabbage picks it up and pushes it into Carrot which again encodes the string with two letters for one, effectively doubling the size of the string. Finally, Turnip encodes the string a last time and Swede turns it around, presenting us the end result.

I guess due to the vague nature of the answers to those questions some trial and error is coming up...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
credit goes to all here and in #soogees for figuring out most of the answers to the 5 questions:

WEDGE
KAYLEE
?
WILDE
DEREK

i found a musician Robert Jonathan Hewitt/Fernandez who had a tattoo on his back but the name doesn't fit

every fourth letter spells GL_DE. i assumed that the blank was an "I" (still don't know who the musician is though, unless it's the "i" from Hewitt"). ran GLIDE through the scripts giving KARLOVMOST

Karlov Most is also known as Charles Bridge in Prague.

The End.

Thanks for the trail Andy. Happy Birthday! Smile
