Varin: that would be because the last calvin and hobbes strip on that site was published September 16.

Though perhaps now there will be a link in triskabiblios for December 13th?

I give up :)

I spent the time I had looking around and can find nothing to add. So I think I need to let the expert puzzle solvers handle this one. I would like to know the solve to the terms and conditions if anyone gets around to posting it.

have fun with this one. Very Happy

Just a thought here but is there a possibility that the bottom of my scribe page is relating to Duckie? The line "......we get a lot of quacks and crank calls"

That's what I thought. I'm glad it wasn't just me!

Update On Lazylaces.com

Things have been quite quiet for me in terms of correspondence from Orkid and Islington. However what I have had I posted on my site:

http://www.lazylaces.com/article.asp?p=1405

I put up my mails from today plus a screenshot of all the msgs islington has left on my web site.

Also had an unproductive chat with orkid on aim. I think she is online right now if anyone else is in touch with her.

Graeme (lazylaces webmaster and scribe)

ps. Nice forums. This game has brought me here for the first time. I'm more of a point'n'click adventurer myself.

Which is weird. And don't we know of a mindcandy? I can't remember where I've seen that before.

Isn't mindcandy the company that runs/owns Perplex City?

That letter from Islington looks unclear, but seems to be relatively easy to read.
The interACTNOWpoetry reference in Orkid's letter might be referring to the poetry running through everything. The 1984 song and the others. Also the AARRGHH thing is probably saying that its an ARG. But the 13,000,000 number means nothing to me; number of people involved? Pages involved? A random number 'from the future?'

Also, did anyone ever figure out the 13 scribes, if there are just 13 of them?

EDIT: the poetry thing is followed by the line "running the span of human history" - maybe we're looking for poems, then the books that contain them.

signup

Yes, the reference to terms and conditions was on that signup page - but now i can't access it. It did have something scribbled about the duke @age 6.But it was written in an odd scrawl.

I know someone at lazylaces had taken loads of screenshots so maybe you can find it there if you need to.

There was a notebook or something. It had a list of 12 rules with the 13th using the vibration 13 logo.

There was also a phrase - something like - the number is expecting you to call - on the same page.

----

And yes, www.mindcandydesign.com are the creators of PPC. Any relevance they or PPC has to whatever this is about is total speculation at this point.

Islington Comments At Lazylaces

I should have also given the link to comments Islington made on my site (it's a screen shot from my site database) :

http://lazylaces.com/pics/islington_comments.jpg

Also you can't see in Duckie's reproduction of the email but "trisca.jp" appeared as a hyperlink in the mail (it's invalid in it's current format).

Finally, this may be a spooky coincidence, but "Duke" is my nickname.
