New contact

Fellow travellers,

Been trying to log in to the board, but haven't received my confirmation mail yet. Posting as guest untill that time.

It seems as though Triscal is still out there. Just received a reply to my mail:

My mail:
Dear Triscal,
Hope you'll recover soon. Been following your path and realise
something is wrong.
Can't pinpoint what though.

Touch base when you can.
Till we meet,
Coen

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
His (?) reply:
thanks. i;m searrching 4 HOLLY Becos i LOVE her. Beautifulll girl. I will search in Islington before returning to OxSwan to eroll. COME back my sweet, you are moving to fast... i will find you.

Now as I see on lazylaces he's sent more people e-mails about this holly person. Let's go and find her!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Not sure if this counts as a spoiler, but I got intrigued by the fact that he talked about looking "IN" Islington. I thought that was his name?
So I went to islington.com. Check it out, looks interesting.
When you go to the subheading "Women", check out "The F-word". It takes you to a site about feminism. Searching for Holly there, brings up many articles about Holly Combe. Haven't researched her yet and am afk in about 15 minutes for the rest of the day. Any1?

Looks like the hunt is on!

It's possible he is taking you through the site at differant stages in "time" or it (the site) is going back in time. Just thought I would suggest the idea I could be horribly wrong Smile.

Since it seems we are getting Islington replies from different email addresses, I think it might help if everyone included the email address they received the emails from when posting his replies?

Here's possibly another stretch, but there are no coincidences, right?

The wingding translated from the first moonphase on "wegotthehistory" url says, "TJ's" . There are many pics in the directory that show the Google bar.

Here's a pic (self-rendered) I posted yesterday on my blog:

I can't for the life of me think what it means.

It was from the index, in the secure folder, labeled "great goodlie moody"

Mountain girl didnt you exclaim great googly moogly? isnt that from maggie and the ferocious beast? that spotted beast thing always says it....

Does anyone else find it peculiar that you can't google the name sajhit roehampton OBE ATS, but if you look at it as an anagram you can make the words:

John Titor
Rose
and
thirteen?

I just can't make sense of the other letters. Also, TJ could be John Titor (time traveller extrordinairre)

If it was John Titor, don't you think it would say JT rather than TJ?

OK, this seems too easy to not have been noticed before, but I did a search here and didn't find anything. That being said, if it's not new, don't flog me with a wet noodle or anything.....

XANDOR Paladin (from the post at Lazy Laces Orkid mentioned in the journal)
googled takes you here:

http://ansible.co.uk/writing/xorandor.html

It says "Brooke-Rose" is the only serious practitioner of narrative who'd writing Englis.

It's too coincidental. It must mean something.

Yes, from the article. In Orkid's journal entry she takes you to the Lazy Laces comment by Islington that says XORANDOR paladin.

Mountain Girl, Six referred me to the thought that the xand to zip book page (reinforced in my scribe movie) was a reference from the book, and i believe it is as well, because some of the dialogue in Xorandor is practically identical to the page. I've already contacted Islington about it, no replies yet.

Do we feel that's enough to include XORANDOR ISBN:0586086544 (Paladin Press) by Christine Brooke-Rose in our list of books. It's not in my local library and I can't find any online text that equates to the picture we have of a page. Anybody else have a copy or see it available?

This is from the Ansible.co.uk webpage concerning Xorandor:

Quote:
The narrators -- two mildly repellent child computer-freaks -- enmesh this in argumentative meta-narrative about the best order to report the facts... clouded by amusing computerspeak, studded with tape transcripts (complete with pause timings, P 4.36 sec) and chunks of pseudo-program: REVIEW DEC 1 "PAGES OF BLOCK CAPS NUMB THE MIND" ENDEC 1 ENDREVIEW.

Same style and the "ENDEC 1" It makes it close to nearly solid asphalt for me. (Not quite concrete, but close)

ETA:
Farther down the site page:
Don't the underlined words seem strangely familiar?

Quote:
Then comes technobabble about whether the computer/rock has "a mass memory and a scratch pad memory and a dynamic memory and an EPROM and... did he do his type-checking at runtime or compiletime." The assumptions are absurdly question-begging, as though one's thoughts on encountering an alien were (a) the location of its vermiform appendix, and (b) whether it attended divine service on Saturday or Sunday.
