Metacortex: Yahoogroup to trade files Hi,
I've started a yahoogroup as an extension to solving this ARG, so that it can facilitate the trading of related files/photos and solutions/guides/breakthroughs.
I'm currently looking for about 3 moderators to manage the site with me. Applications can be made to miscellanity at hotmail dot com You will need to be a member of the site
Visit here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/metacortex
Requirements are listed below:
******
I've started this group to discuss the ARG game that has been
launched to coincide with the release of "Matrix Revolutions". I'm
no expert at this game - but I'm intrigued by the whole concept and
the solutions I've seen so far. I've created this group because
there are very few discussion groups up on the net thus far into the
game, and I thought the serious players need a place (especially a
yahoo group) to trade secrets, solutions and share files.
I'm currently looking for about 3 other people who will be moderating
and managing this site other than me. Applications can be made to
miscellanity at hotmail dot com
Obviously I want moderators who will:
-update this group regularly
-are actively playing this game and searching for a solution
-are willing to share their breakthroughs by posting relevant links,
solutions and photos/files on this site
-are willing to coordinate an effort to breaking this game!
For those that have no idea what the game is about, please visit
the 'Links' section and look for existing discussion boards for an
explanation.

Our efforts to "solve" this game are too scattered...

I would highly recommend that if you get this group up and running, make a mention of it on some of the other big threads on the topic. Hopefully we can get everyone's efforts focused on one place because I suspect that there are tons of people trying to do the exact same thing right now.

There's already a yahoo group that was formed, called zero_army. There are 39 members...

Maybe you could work with that group? I think setting up a new group would be counterproductive...we should be trying to merge, not create separate factions.

..or everyone could just come here. I think unfiction has the best setup for just this sort of thing. Personally, i'm not too fond of the yahoo groups. Unf is a good community and have made a nice little setup for this game.

To Omni Hey omni
Checking out your group now. I think you're right
I'll post a link up to your group in 'metacortex' and maybe we can get all factions to work together.

I would recomend just staying here. We already have it setup, and the members are here.
You can post files to this site also.

No matter what happens people are just going to get into different groups. The Beast got everyone to join one group because at that time there were no alternatives, but now there are countless forums.
Unfiction is a hub for ARG's. I believe it is the best place for any ARG simply because of past experience. However, it doesn't seem possible to get everyone here so the best thing we can do is work together. I will visit other forums from time to time, but mostly rely on posts saying "so and so over at the other forum found this.."
However, this will remain the best setup for discussions.. if you don't believe me go to page 28731 in any other thread and you'll find a new guy saying "I didn't get to read this entire thread because it's too long so I don't know if this has been posted before, but there is some binary in the wallpaper background.."

I'm inclined to agree. Unf has the best setup and the most experienced people.
It's unlikely that we'll get everyone to converge and collaborate solely over here.. although it would be nice. "The Last Free City" seems to have the most people.. but the majority of the talk over there is pretty useless and is filled with new people asking questions about stuff that has been found or "solved" long ago. And lots of (in my opinion) meaningless speculation
Better off to stop over here for any definite stuff.. people are less likely to post trout or pointless info.

I like this place as a hub also for this game. I follow/contribute to a thread on matrixreloaded.com that has become dedicated to this game. Small group of people, but alot of work and collaboration of ideas/news/info is done. I will post anything relevant , not already posted here, to here. Much like I move info seen here back to our home. Cheers, and good luck, this one could be alot of fun.

Central Website Already there are many forums and yahoo groups, while great, it will only splinter our progress. I have created a central website with forum, website, links, storage, whatever we need. As the week goes on we will add content and structure - hopefully this will help centralize the game.
