Also on the note of it Pottsville.

I remember a page or conversation were they said they were happy they went to that mountain and got captured by those agents.

This happened in Project Gateway where some Teens were drinking Yuenglings in the mountains and were attacked by agents testing a weapon.

Ah, most awesome!
I found a list of churchs in Pottsville and some photos a few hours back, but couldn't find anything that fit with an image
but I'm 99.999% certainits Trinity Episcopal Church, since I found a map of Pottsville and that church is in the centre - http://www.easternpa.com/pottsville/walk.html
And I figure that the photos its looking south (I think).

Here's what I'm thinking for the next step. There is mention of a cave being discovered and from what I have read, there was a bit of mining in that town. I'm assuming there are mines up in the hills and the name of one is important (I assume this because of the star/black hole in the /courage image)

Good spoting Huginn!

EDIT: Ah, thats probably the link then. (prevoius post)

The conversation here http://www.fallingintime.com/libra

Is another refrence to Project Gateway.

The cave was housing the crystals that gave the heroes there powers and an archeaologist was researching the legend behind them existing and was getting real close.

Can't remember much more other than blood bullets and a screwup.

Randomeis, G3N3SIS, Sequoya (Where's Stormalong? We need our fearless Moderator!): Isn't it great to have a sequel ARG? There's just a cool feeling getting the same vibes on a totally new game! Smile

Hecuva (I'm certain I've misspelt that name, so forgive me) but I don't necessarily think it's a horrible idea to bring a camera though... or video or some way to relate to us what you saw as soon as you did...

(Perhaps you know someone at the school who would allow you computer access to upload any images so we can see what the drop contained ASAP?)

Also, in terms of the picture of Pottsville (we're in agreement then?)... I also thought it was black-hole-ish, the thing photoshopped in... I also was thinking how Project Gateway into Nightmares involved a large cannon that would spread darkness and chaos throughout the- well, I guess multiverses... Well, that's what I think that is...

Anyway, this is shaping up to be a helluva game. I cannot wait. I wish I lived anywhere near Providence, RI, as I would be there in a heartbeat. (Sorry boss, *cough cough*- I can't come in today... I've got to help save the world... again... and I've got a cold. But I'll be in tomorrow. Smile)

I love that the old players of PG1 are coming back slowly once they realize this is PG2... I don't know... nostalgia is already creeping in. (That's gotta be a first for the genre!) Anyway, before I get all meta-mushy, have a great drop recovery, and if you see a gorgeous girl named Rachel, don't chat her up, or let her kiss ya! Cool

EDIT: Anyone from the old game remember the site for the old newspaper? I'm certain something's gonna pop up soon.

also the title for the page (The Truth Hurts.) is a title for a page for one of the puzzles from it.

I think it contained a conversation where Emily found out her mother was carrying one of the evil crystals.

U got a double post there, G3N3SIS...

Also, I just remembered the site for the Project Gateway stories...

There was a real Project Gateway project, that was taking place in 2001 and 2002, and was in the news for Pottsville.

HOWEVER, these were real stories [google]"Project Gateway" Pottsville[/google]. However, IIRC, there were a couple of faked sites for the game, using the same template of this now defunct news source.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention that. It was for the first game, and there's NOTHING there for the new game (however, ironic as it is, the completion of the real Project Gateway is scheduled for 2006, per the article. Smile)

I went looking for info on Project Gateway and the first thing I came across was a RL Project Gateway in Pottsville. I had a laugh. I have no doubts thats where the name was taken from.

I've been trying a load of different names and words to do with pottsville and PG (from what I've found), but no new pages have come up. I'm under the opinion something will happen on the 22nd (as was mentioned in a previous email) or the drop on the 24th. I doubt anything will happen before those times, but I keep trying anyway

Man, I've been working on this game all bleeding day, and I have yet to post about it. Heh. Marrec was logged in when we were working on it, so, he did all the posting.

But boy, I wish I was closer to RI than, say, several days drive.

Also under the opinon that we'll just have to wait a couple of days before anything new happens.

For definite! I'm really excited about this one. And Storm is around in chat, he just hasn't been posting yet. (Wasn't I as fearless a moderator as him? Heh heh :p) I put a message to the old Orderofthejudges Yahoo Group calling out to all the old GateCrashers. I wonder if that group will be used again? It's here if any new folks want to join it.

The newspaper site was at www.infocyclone.org, it says under construction just now. I dunno if it will be used or not, but it's worth keeping an eye on I guess. Emily's site at freewebs doesn't appear to be there any more, so I guess she might not be in this one. *sob*

Seq, I forgot that you did become a mod on the last one! (But you gotta give me a little leeway, as I probably left just after you got mod-ship.

I'm totally keen with being a mod on this one, BTW, if anyone wants to nominate. I'm not going to be able to play every day though, just every other or so (gotta be realistic with work) so if someone else wants to co-mod? How does one become a mod? And If so, can we form a Mod Squad? And can I just say that I've got a great Mod Bod? That grew in my Mod Bod Pod? (ok, I gotta get some sleep.) Sorry I can't keep up with you (in scotland, right, Seq?)
