[UPDATE] [Sept 22] Gateway Images

First mentioned back in the big thread, there are now three more pics to go with the sa2a.jpg: cap1.jpg, cap2.jpg, sa2c.jpg. None have camo'd (I wonder if they have wised up to us).

Discuss. Very Happy

edit: removed [vl] tag. added date tag - rowan

The sa2 series look completely normal to me. But the caps... well, going purely on file size alone, they're suspicious. Even with minimal lossiness, they're double the size I'd expect jpegs to be. I've checked them in a text editor, but with no joy.

The Cap2 jpg is actually looks like a parking garage. The image is upside down (you can tell by the railing in the image.. here is the image rotated.

Can anyone help clear up that text above the square in sa2c.jpg? I'm trying, but for the life of me I can't see anything but "Examination of Fuzzy"... and that *can't* be right.
(note to self: drink morning coffee *before* opening photoshop.)

I'm pretty sure it says 'Examination of Window'. It's a blowup of the window that's outlined, and may or may not show a ghostly apparition. Here's a 200% zoom of the inset:

cap1.jpg is upside down as well. Here's a flipped version:

I'm not sure how you can say for certain that images are not camo'ed or whatever, but if they are and you need a password, try the page names at VaporLofts as that worked before with 080586.

i cant tell what it says or if it matters...

in the sa2a.jpg photo is says something.

inbetween the 2 green lines if you change the hue/saturation you can see it better, and zoom out.

trying to get something that will help out. im not very good at this photoshop stuff, so bare with me.

looks like base(something) when you zoom out.

Because it is very easy to tell what pictures have been camouflaged and which ones haven't.

I stated in a previous post (which I'm too lazy to get the url for) here is how you tell if a picture has been camouflaged.

1. Save picture to your harddrive
2. Open picture in notepad (or other text editor) (Or, just view-source in Firefox)
3. Scroll to the bottom of the file.
4. Jpegs will always end with the following two characters: ÿÙ If you happen to see these two characters at the end of the file with nothing else after them, it has not been camouflaged. If you happen to see those two characters with more gibberish after them, a bunch of white space, then more gibberish, etc - it has been camouflaged. It has to do with the way the camouflage program hides the information in the file.
5. You can use the camouflage password extractor to get the password of the camo'd file. If you happen to run it on a file that has not been camouflaged, you just get gibberish.

All of the new pictures in the gateway/images folder have failed both 4 & 5 - so they are not camo'd. They still could have been stegged (using JPHS), but I already ran the previous password (080586) on them and got nothing.

I had been seeing that text as BAGEL all day (I must be hungry), but seeing it cropped with just the green line and the text makes it look like BASELINE.

Just for kicks, I added the word in 23pt Courier New:

Each of the arrows also has a letter associated with it ... I can't get them all just yet, but I believe there is a L, U, T and a few extras. Also, the letter "C" appears on the same line as "Baseline" or whatever it is ... over to the right a bit ...

Also, comparing Sa2b to Sa2c, the window in question appears to be open in one, closed in the other. Also, while messing around in Adobe, I'm pretty sure there is something in the open window (red/nightime shot)... moving on now to the parking garage photos ...
