Ex. PG1 player Bluefire, reporting for duty! Very Happy

I'm really excited about this, as PG1 was my all time favorite ARG Very Happy

lordscrubb is happy to serve

I am an ARG noobie that has nothing to offer.

I have followed this from its beginnings and just when it gets started I am going camping 50 miles from anywhere to plug anything in let alone a computer GRRRRRRRRRR

Please leave me some puzzles so I can prove my noobie status.

my offerness is asking game charas stupid/sarcastic questions and actually getting answers O.o also i tend tot think in weird ways which may or may not be useful. I am the Mistress of Silly Questions on the MUDD i play (no i didn't chose that title myself)

all this weird stuff like the name of the email addy and some of the stuff in the letter HAS to be a cipher it just looks to random to be random. anyone figured anything out yet?

also is the map key supposed to be like that?(that being alphabetical order instead of numerical order) or has it been edited? i thought map keys generally went from 1 to whatever.

The last set of numbers is 6,58,105,117. I think it's been posted before.

Yes, it was confirmed to be those numbers by an e-mail in which it was referred to as a locker combination.

And it was solved a while ago too. But spoilering anyway:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Using the numbers and the text in the image, for every number N get the Nth character in the text to get: y3o0.

Edit: which, incidentally, is NOT a Beale cypher, whereby for every number N, you get the first character of the Nth word.

The latest E-mail recieved from noitcurtsed@gmail:
"So, when do you want to go out next? This vacation isn't so bad."

"Oh, I don't know... maybe the 22nd? How's about that?"

"I think I could work that into my schedule."

There is one other place a vacation is mentioned.

Unless I counted wrong, neither of the two sets of numbers works on the vacation text of /lie (N = Nth letter).

I'm curious about the hidden text on the /y3o0 page.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
highlight the bottom half of the screen

Does it mean anything? or is it just a dead end?

It's probably just adding to the backstory. You can see the same thing when you view the source for that page.

*nod* I posted it a while back. Probably just some backstory like the rest of the texty goodness through the site. Although it IS the only group of text that is hidden like that... *hmm* Still, doesn't appear to be anything to do with it.

Sequoya or any of the other PG1-ers or those who were following the cool desktops teaser:

What about that help button? Is there any way we can incorporate this? Or has it already been hit, since we're getting a drop from Strike?

Anyway, I was just re-reading that thread, and wondered if we had given up on that idea that was mentioned, or if it was just something to be aware of for now...

Thoughts?

Sorry to double post, but it's a new separate idea:

Who is willing to get a wiki started for the new game?

We'll need one, I'm certain, as it was a great help for the 1st one.

I cannot, as I (1) don't have hosting, (2) don't have time, and (3) wouldn't know how to start one in the first place. Smile

We can use this one, but there appears to be a spambot that regularly visits and messes everything up.
