I'm no expert, but using the Windows binary of stegdetect 0.4 with the xsteg frontend I'm getting quite a few positives for jphide. I do have the sensitivity cranked up to 10, however. Shack.jpg and redlake.jpg are among the images coming up with 3 stars. Could these results be false positives?

Yes, probably. The sensitivity is way too high, I usualy leave it at the default levels and still get false positives every once in a while. Here are some breaks I ran at the request of someone in IRC today:
