[New] E-mail from Martha Crappert

Dear Contestants,
We have had terrific response to our \"Name that Rock\" contest. To date we have over 300 entries! Our contest ends November 16th, 2005 - so be certain you have placed your entry to be considered for the grand prize!
We will be keeping the \"Name that Rock\" site open after the November 16th 2005 deadline for entries to allow people to sign up and receive our Newsletter!
We here at Orbicon are planning an exciting major announcement in mid to late November. We shall be sending the winners of our contest e-mails to confirm their status at that time.
Other news of note:
It has come to the attention of Orbicon Corporation that there are some individuals representing themselves as Orbicon Employees.
Please note that all correspondence from Orbicon Employees will arrive from an Orbiconcorp.com address or related sites owned and operated by the Orbicon Corporation or its subsidiaries.
We stongly urge you to report any contact purportedly from an Orbicon employee that did not originate from an Orbicon address.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Martha Crappert

But at least now we know. No more guess work.
And PMs - I love you for once again telling us who we can trust. I get all sorts of warm fuzzies for knowing you care

Yeah, I'm glad to know for sure that this game hasn't started yet. I was getting kinda worried that the pace of this game would be slow like this all the time. Can't wait for November!

I find it slightly odd that this email advises us to "report any contact purportedly from an Orbicon employee that did not originate from an Orbicon address" rather than telling us to ignore them.
Should we then "report" the Steven Mae guy?

well...i think Mae is deffinatly in game and since they already know someone tried to impersonate him...i dont think we need to report him. Just wait and see if their are any more impersonation attempts

another cheers to the PM's for not keeping us TOO much in the dark
i do think it's strange that they would keep stressing to report the "imposters". it also makes me think they want us to be unsure if it's a character or not. like if they have their own imposter steven mae, and it's the real one that's sending those other messages, and they really are trying to find him. maybe he stole something from them that they want back? (i sound like a conspiracy theorist now). but for example, if something bad is about to happen to Mae, wouldn't they want to attempt a cover up at his cries for help?
i guess we'll have to wait until mid november for any more answers?

Did we decide to report Steven Mae and I missed out, well, if we didn't Steven Mae is definently in-game because he wrote the Sudoku puzzles in the second issue of the newsletter.

Yes, but the guy that was sending emails wasn't the same Stephen Mae that wrote the sudoku. He was pretending to be in-game, thereby confounding some of the players.
It may be prudent to realise that there may be more than one person in the world called Stephen Mae. This guy didn't have an orbicon email address therefore is NOT in-game.
Can we put this to bed now please?

I am going to make a request that the hive mind think evil thoughts in the general direction of the OOG Steven Mae, then this section can die.
