Me and Hojo are hitting two different theatres (increases our chances)

I will be attending famous players Paramount in Downtown Toronto (the one that looks like a cube).

I'm not sure which one Hojo's going to cause she's in the process of arranging for a ride.

I'm still at work right now I'll get off in time to catch a 6:00pm show so 6:00 + 2 hrs you can expect a response before 10:00pm depending on what time the show starts (and I'll be at the show early just in case to scout out the entire theatre)

i thought id add this, although people have probably already seen it, and no reply to my email so far... anyway this is off the famous players website, under 'advertising opportunities'

Quote:
On-Screen

Full Motion
Full Motion spots are larger than life advertising opportunities that engage the audience with the spectacular impact that cinematic sight and sound can deliver. Worldwide research has shown that in-theatre full motion spots can generate five to 12 times the recall of traditional television spots.

Digital Pre-Show
The Digital Pre-Show is a brand new approach to our blend of advertising and interactive trivia that reaches a captive audience quickly and effectively. This dynamic and unique new technology brings the show to audiences with dramatically improved picture quality, and is available in three formats – digital "still" images, digital "animated" images and digital motion spots.

NO CLUE!

I arrived at paramount today at approx 6:15pm I sat in during the preshow until my show "flight plan" started at 6:45pm at the paramount location. The entire time only reconizable ads were shown, ads like mazda, or ads for rogers wireless.

There were NO perplex city clues or even non-actor related trivia items.

There were also NO ads for companies I haven't seen before. I would've snapped any pics of any company I've never heard of before.

I also listen carefully to the songs that were playing to make sure I don't miss a tune inspired by perplex city. All songs were either reconizable or did not have any lyrics related to the content in the song titles on the poster.

After the movie I also searched the entire place, from the box office to the washrooms to their bar.... Nothing.

The only thing that did remind me of perplex city was the building itself it has a cube in it. Here's a pic to see what I mean.

Sorry guys but it looks like we misinterpreted this one unless Hojo can give some better news.

Nada for myself as well.

Hit the Richmond Hill Silver City for the 9:30pm Corpse Bride (btw, I suggest waiting for it to come to video if anyone is curious).

Made a couple tours around the place, inside and out, before we grabbed our seats - checked for signs/ads, listened to the music same as vortex-5, checked for flyers or anything that could have been left in the open all night. Nothing stood out so we paid close attention to commercials and previews before the show, a whole lot more of nuthin.

Sorry guys, I was hoping something would have come out of it...

Now that we see the lack of information from the movies, I took another look at the poster/ website. The idea: if the mention of the theaters isn't to guide us to the physical location, then what is it for?

I wondered if maybe it had something to do with the name "famous players" and maybe the names of the songs were leading us to the name of a person associated with it?

This has to bring us back to the "keywords" issue that we originally thought we were looking for. There's more to that poster. I'm sorry there wasn't anything at the movie theatres. Odd, kind of, that they'd suggest a real life event when nothing was going to happen at all. Not even a clue that said we'd missed the point. But, evidently, we have missed the point. Confused

the poster led us to think stars... stars+famous players= film stars, maybe what we're looking for is a canadian film star. Or else the live event aint started yet...

With all the references to stars, if we map the locations of these cinemas relative to each other, it might resemble a famous star constellation.

I'd try it myself, except I know absolutely nothing about the locations of these cinemas. If someone out there has more data (and I'm sure someone does) then they might like to try it.
