A quick look at the facts and hopefully can put them all together better than I can...

English Policeman (Bobby)

XP Default Icon with Mag Glass right over him (Stegged Photo? Look him up on the web?)

Roladex with a highlight at "G" (Gairden, Call Gairden? Phone number in the Comments at Paintover.ney)

Sea Urchin (aquapolis???)

Ceaser Quote

Any ideas?

"I See One and You For..."

(eye see 00000001 et tu 00000100)

Hmm That triggered something a bit obscure.

The British Police Classifications for Race

IC1 - Caucasian;
IC2 - Mediteranian
IC3 - Black

And the missing guy is white.

(think I need some sleep Shocked )

I'm not even gonna mention the British Police undercover drugs operation called "Operation Urchin".

Or that the British Computer Society MSc module IC1 deals with computer security.

Oops already did.

(I thing I'm overgoogled)

file popping out

there is a file popping out of the q section. You can tell because the tab behind it is the same as the g tab with the card in front of it.

Look at the p tab and you can definitely see the white paper at the top of it covering some of the r tab.

Some history on British Police;

In Britain today all policemen are commonly referred to as 'Bobbies'! Originally though, they were known as 'Peelers' as they were the creation of one Sir Robert Peel.

The Peelers were the Metropolitan Police Force, which Sir Robert founded when he was Home Secretary in Lord Liverpool's Tory Cabinet. Today it is hard to believe that Britain in the early 1800's did not have a professional Police Force and that one had to be created.

The first thousand of Peel's police, dressed in blue Tail-coats and top hats, began to patrol the streets of London on 29th September 1829. The uniform was carefully selected to make the 'Peelers' look more like ordinary citizens, rather that a red-coated soldier with a helmet.

and

It is interesting to note that the formation of the first paid police force of modern times received strong opposition. Then, as now, the public involved was very suspicious of increased government intrusion into their lives. In 1822, Briton Sir Robert Peel came up with Nine Principles of policing in order to calm their anxiety. These fears are best summed up in this passage from a report to one of the Royal Commissions hearing on this matter:

"It is difficult to reconcile an effective system of police with that of perfect freedom of action and exemption from interference, which are the great privileges and blessings of society in this country…[these] are too great a sacrifice for improvements in police, of facilities in detection of crime, however desirable in themselves." – From: The Police Force, L.F. Hobley, Allman and Son, UK, 1971

This is TheOxygen from over at SomethingAwful (we're trying to decode this stuff the same as you guys Smile ). I noticed the now obvious face next to the police officer (and was quite scared when I did), but I can't come up with anything else regarding that aspect.

However, if you notice, the name Cassius is right on the G tab, which is the file being pulled (and there is clearly a picture in the file, but you can only see the edge of it). I also note some faint handwriting, a three letter word or something like that next to the P tab, to the right. Also, the upper left hand symbol (in the police picture) appears to be G, at least to me.

Perhaps something involving Phillip Gairden?

The Full URLS for the Archives;

Any significance of the numbers after the #

I know what they do, I just don't know if they mean anything

Hi, and welcome.

Yeah it could be a G in the police picture, but has anyone tried to see if there's a wingding closer?

The line breaks on the quote do seem to be designed to position words,
with the phrase "And this man" ending on the police pic. Could it be "and cassius" or even "nd cassius" perhaps an anagram?

There's not much to see on the G file and I'm curious about the other two prominant files further back which seem to show the tops of large letters (S & T from S TO L?)

And how does this all fit together with what we have for the previous picture and the site as a whole?

"It's a pickle..."

It's probably not relevant, but I feel I should point out that no-one in Britain has actually called a policeman a 'bobby' in about 40 years.
