What is the exact regulation regarding posting scans, I was going to post a hi-res section of the written bit on my card but I'm not sure what max res is allowed and if that applies to sections like this?
I've read on Mind Candy site that reproduction of stuff is allowed at 60dpi or less, but not sure if this is current, has been superceded, is ignored or is a fiction;
Quote:
the Council, Mind Candy and the Academy GRANTS TEMPORARY PERMISSION for
persons taking part in the Retrieval Operation to:-
• graphically reproduce at no higher resolution than 60 dots per inch of
any physical product produced by the Council or Mind Candy or the Academy associated
with the Retrieval Operation PROVIDED THAT such reproduction bears and/or
reproduces all such copyright or other intellectual property rights acknowledgements
present on any reproduced product.

So what crazy ideas have people come up with for the cards?
Best I could come up with was sticking them to the insides of elevator doors, but that comes nowhere near to Tanners idea. I think I'll go get myself some helium... hopefully I was the only one in Auckland, and they actually mail to NZ

I too got industrial amounts of cards this morning 036/100 Nothing special, just 'James' sig and what may be '05 al' (or 'os' or even 'oz') underneath it.
My idea was to hide cards in near impossible to find places, with a simple puzzle (like mirror writing) to point potentials in the right direction. Eg: the cards are celetaped to the underside of that lid on top of the water resevoir in toilets, with a note-puzzle on the door - it's always good to have something to read
Not really an amazing idea, I must be the only person here that plays... Well, not for much longer hopefully.

I think I know what the text reads now, it's "Jones 05 AD".

I didn't get any! My ideas were pretty mundane, though. I had a few thoughts in my email to Scarlett, and probably the most exciting one was to hide them in funny places at the Orlando theme parks. I guess someone else in the area must have had better ideas than mine! No shock there.
Now, what's up with this Pleasure Cards site? I'm not sure I understand why Mind Candy's using it.

I don't know but firebox have their own set of pleasure cards here
What I found interesting when I first visited (and ordered) them is this section.
Quote:
Created using cutting edge print technology, each pack of 100 cards contains 98 different colours, in a perfect spectrum of colour, as well as 2 specially commissioned Firebox designs, not available anywhere else. You'll also find another mystery card included.
Linked to firebox I presumed a PPC card of somekind, I ordered them about a week and 1/2 ago now and they STILL have not arrived, I am off to uni on tuesday so if they aren't here by then I won't know for a few weeks if my presumption was right.
EDIT: It says they should arrive within 14 days so if they are not there on tuesday morning I will be sending an email to chase them up.

Pleasure Card Site Just a bit of spec:
Scarlets Pleasure Card number is 4U34FB. These numbers as described on the site as the users "unique key".
Maybe this is Scarlets KEY number in Perplex City and maybe if we all get keys too we will be able to access places in Perplex City.

Actually, I think that these are business cards of sorts. THey are just cars you can order and put your details on. The "unique designs" are probably colour based. The extra card COULD be something like Sphinx, but i doubt it. Looks like you've bought a box of Pantone sheets, without numbers

That's what they look like to me. I just wonder why Perplex City is using this service. For instance, when you sign up, are you in Scarlett's personal address book, and therefore... cooler than everybody else? Or is it just another interesting way for Mind Candy to blur real life/ARG? Or both.
In any case, they look neat. I might try them out. (to be cool)

There is no mention of Mind Candy. FIREBOX, MIchael Acton-Smith's other company, have designed a series of pantone business cards for sale. As it's a card website, and Michael already had an account, he probably thought that it would be a good idea to put up the profile in the hope that someone stumble across it and fall down the rabbithole. He linked us to it so we can find out a bit about Scarlett. PERPLEX CITY, MIND CANDY, etc. are not involved.

Yay, mine turned up at work this morning. 016/100 and it looks as though it's signed by 'Jones 03 ad' (???)
And also has '^Joy' written on it. Hey ho.
Now I have to go and put these cards in:
1) In a London Eye pod
2) The lift in a tall building-such as the OXO tower
3) A toilet cubicle wall
4) A confessional in a Catholic church-Although I wouldn't leave the Tower of Cubes there in case they became Cubists
5) A Telephone box-with all the other cards removed so they don't get distracted
6) A coffin-(because I'm struggling here)
My idea was enclosed spaces that people couldn't leave from.
Was this really the best idea in London...Jesus wept.
FAO Nathan (my colleague who reads what I write here (???))- DO SOME WORK YOU LAZY CHUBBY TOSSPIECE.

I join forum at weekend and very much enjoy the words that you talk.
I like the reasoning behind the reason. I also receive many of the card this morning but will not be back in the home until the late night.
Why is the european chris posting these card all through the London? Why is he outside looking in. It is a cold day for me today, I want to be looking out from inside as I would be a cold Chi Wai looking in from the outside.
I would like to talk the talk, but as yet me no able to walk the walk.
What does the words of FAO mean?
Best regards
Chi Wai

Wow. Either that was really deep stuff that you just said, or the tranlation needs some work. I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. What do you mean looking out from the inside etc.?
European Chris is just insulting a colleague. Nothing unusual there. Carry on.
