I spent most of the morning looking for new cards and going through characters we have already unlocked. I did no playing of poker, and now I see that I have changed from a diamond to a club. So maybe the site checks what your activities are and rates you in that manner. I am going to play some poker now to see if I change back.

We were discussing this in chat and it seems that Gupfee came up with how it changes from a club to a diamond and back again.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Every time you visit thedealers page, it changes to a club.
Every time you visit Lucy's page, it changes to a diamond.

Spades are people who found a card, but how do you get a heart?

Probably you get a heart when you've played Tombstone Hold'Em?

Okay, I think the use of spoilers is getting a wee bit excessive, here. Smile (I include myself in that.)

Perhaps we should save them for puzzle solutions?

I understand the allure of the mouseover box, but...

Re: tarok vs tarot vs cards

Tarot is orginally based on Tarok - the first "card" game.

However, the Major Arcana and Minor are still used for Tarot cards. It's possible that thedealer is playing a sort of "high priest" position, handing out info as we "earn" it. In a way, that's what is happening whether intended or not. That's how the Tarot work - they reflect life and archetypes.

Also - personality and card types. In the Tarot, each person's personal card is based on their personality. Swords are often strong, sometimes overbearing people with dark hair and dark eyes, who tend to be sharp tongues... as an example.

Here's a Link to English Rules: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot_%28game%29

My viewing of the Tarot, No one has a "Personal" card forever. As we grow, evolve, shift through rotating drama's and attention spans, the theme of the moments/card will change with the experience/perspective. I also Take that the suits could be considered to be Echo's of the Tetragrammaton. Wands-Fire(the idea and begining of things, inspiration, ideas), Cups-water(The Emotion and passion behind said things) Adding fire and water together creates steam/Air and is also part of the process in building a Sword, That which you use to fight with reality to carve your niche, the will to fight. And in carving into the Earth, you Then reap the coinage your skill has allowed you to aquire.

In this system, Aces are the roots of the ideas, before they're tarnished with being all physical and stuff... it's sorta like a seed... And by 10 it has been so tarnished and mutated that it's better if you moved on or stuck around 5or6. Example(Ace of wands is the muse of a new idea, The 10 of Wands is being trapped in the dogmatic thought loops that limit one to one idea.)

I could rant forever on the subject. But Tarot is cool.

They just found some Major arcanna paintings in a church from the 14th century.

Embedded reaaaaally long link which was stretching the posts out and making me scroll sideways to read. --Phaedra
