Laying in bed thinking about this game doesn't bother me so much now that I know that you guys are dreaming about it .

I just got a press release from Last Call Poker. It's a standard gimmicky press release.
Hi, cherold, and welcome to Unfiction.
May I ask why you get poker-related press releases frequently?
Charles Herold is a technology correspondent for the NYT. That's why the gimmicky press-releases for internet things. He's kind of the official ARG correspondent too. Look him up - his articles are good.

Heh!
I think it's safe to say that if the profile has one of the "stock" avatars we are all given to select from, then it's prolly a player and not a character.

I think it is to build up players too and I also miss a lot oc convo because I am clicking around a lot or I look away or something. It doens't annoy me that there are people on there who take it sooooo seriously lol. It's kinda funny and I have tried to tell a few that it's an arg in hopes of seeing a light bulb go on over their head and me patting myself on the back for doing a good deed and bring someone int o the fold but uh to no avail. They seem not to care. SO oh well.
I dunno if this is a trout but I was playing around with my death date and it defaults to yesterday if you go to edit your profile, regardless of what you had it at before. If you put a date in the future there is a club above your head but a date prior to today's will show a diamond it seems. Anyone else messing around with this? Also, the pict on the front page, the items and dots next to the players are different than what we have. It looks like dots and knives or something.

They are "spades!" As in what you dig with! And a "club"...as in what you use to hit someone over the head with. That's clever...and revealing. Heh heh heh....
The characters are different, too. My thought is that the pic is from a beta game.
Look closely at the table in the bottom left. Is that a hotdog?

For what it's worth, the Absolute Poker client lets you put food next to your avatar for a bit of extra "flavor". Others might as well, but I've only played at Absolute and Party.
I really hope that I don't have to play all that much poker here, because that Java client is laggy as sin.

Whoa. I can hardly tell (bitmap!) but I do see what looks like a hotdog on a plate there. That's never been there when I've played.

I think it's a shot from the beta. But I wish I could use the heavy at the top as my avatar...he's scary.
Um...no women, I noticed. Not commenting on it...just noticing...

Yesterday I edited my profile with my home phone, a death date and a mortography. I know some other people tried this but I put later this year as my death date to see what would happen. Nothing DID happen but it was set to the last day of December.
I went back to change my home phone to my cell (to avoid parents answering and wondering what such people are doing calling their daughter ) and it set to today's date.
I don't know if it's a bug or not but I thought it should be pointed out, especially if the PMs are keeping tabs on us.
