er, that particular Meridian Cross should only sound familiar if you play in the SCA and live in Meridies (South/SE USA). It's a kingdom-level award.

I was just thinking about the keywords thing and wondered if maybe "approach" and "sign" might be the keywords we're looking for? Not that I have any clue what to do with them mind you...

Maybe it's just telling us that a sign is approaching

EDIT: Add to that the sentinel quotes and maybe we have "stellar" "forceful" "approach" and "sign". Still no clue what it could mean though

just a quick note, but of course it may all be referring to some sort of apocalyptic cosmic event - perhaps not the 2007 Syzygy expected, but something along those lines, a comet, as mentioned (once believed to be a herald of doom, change, kingship, etc); a special conjunction; eclipse; nova; zodiac ("futures") sign, etc.

"Meridian Cross" may refer to many things in physics, astronomy, geography, etc. Some ideas might be:

-Noon. (Sun crosses our meridian at noon - more information to be found on sundials/astrolabes/observatory time, etc)
-Astrologic charts. Intersections between meridian & ecliptic create the Midheaven & Nadir, and 'perpendicular' are the Ascendant & Descendant (also speculatively ties into my curiosity as to whether PXC was drawn at one time on a celestial/astrological chart or principle..)
-in sense of "appulse" - connects with conjunctions, syzygy, etc.

Meridian Cross made me think of both the Southern Cross and (of course) the Northern Cross. Then again, maybe that's because of all of this talk about stars and constellations, and the fact that I spent too much time tracing some subsidiary of the Southern Cross Broadcasting company at work this summer.
