[PHONE] Phonecall from TheDealer (Sep 28) (Changed tag to indicate type of interaction, now that interaction has its own forum. --Phaedra)
Or at least it had his normal shuffling of cards.
I didn't get very much from it. It sounded like two investigators talking about the event in the cemetery with snippets from the scene report. Also mentioned the lack of a gun at the scene (that we already knew)
Pardon me while I deal with the adrenalin hig.... *thud*

Just got it, too. One guy was Phil (presumably Phillip Kim), and I don't think I got the other guy's name. Mentioned someone named McPherson (spelling?). Both speakers were on some sort of task force against gang violence.

that'd be Donald McPherson:

You beat me to it! I actually found him by typing that in, and then saw that you had nailed the card before me

I got the call too. I have to say that I finally understand what the big deal is about interaction - I don't think I've ever felt such a rush in my life!

My coworker's playing as well. I've handed him my voice-recording palm. We'll see what happens.
Keep your fingers crossed.

Edit. We got it, thanks to Nehoc's phonecall.
Re-Edit: Here ya go. Forgive the background noise. We're working. No, really.
Can we get a concensus on the transcript?

Here are my notes from the phonecall (I was frantically writing stuff down, my palms sweating... so they're very few and scrambly):
... Hey, Phil
... case on Robert Brown
... not task-related
... other guy on case
... mandate to control gang [this was said in a rather official voice, not one of the two men speaking]
... someone was asking/talking about the gun
... thanks. you bet.
I could swear I just read something like this^ in one of the files people just found. Now I can't find that stupid file. Or am I just crazy?...

Anyone thing that the gruff voice, not donald, was "Rojas"? mentioned in Kim's post-it to maurice?
I really think Rojas is going to link the Paco Cisneros and Ruben murders, and will tie things into the Robert Brown murder, obviously.
I've tried all sorts of combinations, but can't find one that works.
There's a phil mentioned...
anyone know how to make "phil" work?

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that it began with "here's your card" in that usual voice. Probably because it leads to the card, hm

I thought I heard Bill rather than Phil but im not sure.
and the mandate to cotrol gang vs gang violence not protect the average person
--I was a bit suprised to get the call, and it was a bit hard to hear. I heard about what you have here.

duh, this was most likely Phil Kim talking to Don McPherson (spelling doesn't count right now). So, that was not our Rojas dude.
Why didn't I figure that out before...

That'd be the Mark XIX text on Maurice Pikar 's profile. Now the Gambler has a name. (I think.)
My voice mail got thedealer's call. Or at least the last half of it.
