the other guy on the case was in intelligence (i think that's what I heard)
They're looking for the gun, the guy who called is wondering if any gun was found at the scene. Then it was an uncomfy silence and the call ended with pleasantries.

I think it was Don McPherson and Phillip Kim on the phone...Phil said he was going to call Don in the story with Maurice. I think the point of it was to give us Mcpherson's card.

I just got the call too... As soon as I picked up I was like "Curses! I'm never going to be able to remember this...I should have let it go to voice mail." Does anyone know if that will work? Will it just start playing as soon as the voice mail picks up (aka before the voice mail starts recording)?

per Shad0 (howdy dude!) it starts talking once it picks up, meaning if your voice mail outgoing message is short and sweet, you'll get more of the recording, but if not, thedealer keeps talking regardless... Yay for phone stuffz!

Man, it figures, I got the call when I was paying for my food at Quizno's! Don't really have any more info to add right now.

I got this call to, it sounds like the same one.
Course, I didn't get much out of it, at least, nothing that hasn't already been mentioned...I didn't get the "here's your card" either. Though to be fair, the first 8 seconds or so seemed awfully unclear, all I really heard was some sort of laughing. Coulda been talking.

Got the call too, and thought it appropriate to say so.

I got the call too, and thanks to ouroboros's early warning, I even managed to hit "record" on my phone a split-second into it. It does have the "here's your card" sample at the start as with the other audio bits. I'll try to transfer the recording to my PC tonight and see if it's any better than the one that's already posted.

Still waiting... Having two accounts, you'd think I'd be sure to get it, but the number was borked on one and completely incorrect on the other...
I have no idea how that happened...
Ah well, at least I got to talk to Paco.

warning to SpaceBass I got the call at 15:17PST. It opens with that "shuffling sound", then went to a telephone bell-ring. I was able to type and remember the following snips:
Quote:
..hey phil..
..looking over the case on robert brown..
..you thinking..
..the bureau has a brick(?) agent on it..
..guy did theft..
..you guys only care about dog on dog violence(?)..
..[stern, loud] the mandate of this task force is to investigate(?) gang violence, mr.macpherson..
..any gun at the scene?

The .wav file You know, this is the perfect spot for a Microsoft Bashing joke.
Is anyone else having issues listening to the file I pulled down from my Jornada? It plays fine on my palm, but when I try to play the file I transferred from it, I get a lousy codec error.
Any problems?
