Are you hitting on my wife!?
Ok, to stick with the topic - it was a great chat and the taking turns in asking questions was a really cool idea! All three thumbs up for Deke or whoever thought of it

Someone earlier asked about how to "activate" the keyword Power on the murphy jewelers page... I think the fact that the "line" points to "letter" tells us that obtaining the letter will do something for us there.
Now, I think that's enough "quotes" for one night!

A thing that I have been wondering about our historian that we maybe should ask him about;
If you keep the balance, that means that you are protecting the world wich makes you good which makes you not balanced at all! And in that case - your ultimate plan is to end the balance and ruin the world you evil, scheeming bastard! I have seen through your charade - you might as well stop or I'll go medieval on your *edited for younger audiences*.
What do you guys think about that!?

actually keeping the balance means you support both good and evil trying to keep either from overcoming the other.. it's called neutrality. and while true neutrality is hard to come by it isn't unheard of.

Spoken like a true D&Der. ^_^
Fence sitting isn't so bad when you don't know the full story. You just have to be sure it's a comfy fence.

I still want to know why all monks have to be lawfull! Rargh!
On topic though, I'm not sure about the Historian. He's not EVIL. But he's definitely not one of the "good guys" either. Why he would take an interest in us 'pitiful humans' and depend on US to keep the balance when he is a 'far superior being' still confuses me. Or, maybe for the balance to be kept, he cannot intervene and simply push the sides of the battle in the right direction... after all, if we all out won, that would not be balance.

Maybe he's bored? Or a bored god in disguise. Either way it's like asking that strange old man (most often a god or something in disguise) why he doesn't go get the <insert holy artifact here> himself.. I've done that before.. the results were not pretty.
