It's an automated synthesised phone service..

It's an automated synthesised phone service for the receda institute for sound? therapy daytime service.

I'm just mapping out all the phone options right now, they're quite strange, and some of the words I'm having trouble hearing.

Does a new thread need starting for it?

Option 2 gets you to the 'Yawn Sleeping Department'

Then 'Press 1 for a nightmare situation, press 2 if it involved fluffy bunnies'

If you press 1 you get (and I'm paraphrasing) 'Can't help you there, matey - don't want to get all depressed ourselves'

If you press 2 you get something about deciding if they're able to help you, then 'Press 1 if it happened during the day, press 2 if it happened at night'

Then 'Press 1 for why, press 2 for why not'

If you then press 1, then they say they might be able to help, and to 'Call extension 221 during working hours'

Pending...

A square like that always makes me think of a Playfair cypher but we don't have a message to decode...yet.

I am having trouble following all the puzzles floating around here and most of them I have no idea how to help with, but translating the numbers to letters would give:
Code:

S O H A T
D V X J E
Q I R F P
Y N G K C
B L U M W

i guess we've already figured its all about power and such like, but for what its worth, the picture second along on the top row is the bottom booster rocket thingies from the saturn V that powered the apollo moon missions, i know this because i stood underneath them a few weeks ago and have a very similar photograph myself! allegedly the most powerful engines ever built or something like that, the new space shuttle is a lot more efficient.
is the first one possibly the vatican?
middle row second along, houses of parliament? and not to refuel the 'whats the catch' arguments but is that an xbox 360 power button i spy? just curious!

rach =)

This is probably a fluke, but looking at the lower left picture in the movie as it flashes with the bar as a dash and without as a dot; I see dash dot dot dash dash dot. That could spell out 'time'. I tried www.therecedasign.com with /time.html /time.htm and /time.mov and found nothing.

Spugmeistress, the white domed building in the upper left appears to be the United States Capitol building .

Mods: Should there be a thread for the movie in the puzzle section?

Looking at those pictures the common link between them seems to be power.

Saturn V Booster - Rocket Power
House of Parliament - Govt Power
Capitol Hill - Govt Power
Batteries - obvious
Magnifying glass
Lightning
Power On Button
HMS Victory - Naval power
the otheer pics seem to point at Power generation

and finally a cube - ^3 is a power

just a thought....

One that has been noted before - that'll teach me to read all the pages

I can't see if this has been mentioned before but looking at the map of the city on the back of card #185 spin cycle I notice that the "Brotherhood of the Six Temple" is on a road called "Stellar End"

I've added my 2¢ in red, above. Lots of *Power*!

Back to the trailer, which we never really picked up again after the Somnotherapy line and ensuing story:

I think the solar panel blinks and dashes *are* Morse code. The trailer is carefully divided into frames, and in the picture section, each change occurs every three frames (naturally). Counting the dashed panel as a dash, the plain panel as a dot, and nothing to be a letterspace, we definitely can construct a Morse code message.

If you consider the dots and dashes to be the same length (3 frames each), then the letters spell MHIPZI (which I ROT'ed to IDELVE and spent way too long trying to figure out where an iDelve map was of PXC, or who 'delves.')

Anyway, seeing that the dashes always exist in groups of 6, I'm now considering that 6 frames equals one dash, but 3 equals one dot. This interpretation yields THIRD I, straight up.

Which, you know, is useful. But I've done everything I can think of to produce a website or subpage or find a good link, and not much has come up so far. It's possible that there was supposed to be another dot at the end before the screen blanks, which would give THIRDS and perhaps then the recedamusic/recedaschoolofmusic site(s), but there's an increased space after the D, which leads me to think that it's indicating a word space.

"Third Eye," of course, has many connotations. Or this could have something to do with the Jones Beach site, though I'm sticking with 'tower' as a keyword for that until something better turns up.

So help me run with it - I think power is still the keyword here, but will third i or whatever help us find something else? or is this just a coincidence and it really did spell out NERD like I thought yesterday? Razz

Okay, in retrospect the Morse Code probably just reads THIRD. The solar panel itself might have been inserted at the end not to form a letter but to be displayed with all of the other images.

So yeah. Third Power. Oh well...
