Oh hey, I have a question: so, like, what does Lucy's ID name mean?

"andadaughter"? She's thedealer's niece. What's up with that?

Am I missing something stunningly obvious? I bet I am. I am so ready to hide ... over there ...

Well, thanks to today's update on Lucy's profile, we now know the answer:

And a daughter2 wrote:
"We have three sons," Lucy's Dad used to say. "High achievers, every one of them. Great kids. Three of the best boys anyone could have..."

"—and a daughter."

Ouch.

(Incidentally... Lucy's brother Seth Brown can be "dumb as a sack of judge's gavels."

Also known as hammers.

I <3 42. Very Happy )

This question still stands. It doesn't seem like we have any real big clues yet, but isn't it kind of early in the game to be waiting on the PMs?

Well, before this gets overlooked, don't forget that the word "DON'T" is repeated on the splashpage. I don't have the screenshots here to determine which letters were capitalized, but they may make a difference.

I also believe we shouldn't forget the fact that our chats with thedealer, hikerd00d, and Paco have had the initial letters missing from some of their posts/sentences.

Could this also be a clue?

People I've talked to while playing poker seem to hold the opinion that the PM's are going to reveal a clue in the near future. It seems to me that there must be some clues present on the site (such as the LooT/TooL thing) that we haven't noticed/acted on, but talk seems to be more focused on info that we already have. I'm pretty new to ARGs though, so maybe I just don't understand the current mentality.

Ahhhh....

No, in a way you're right. Normally, we'd all be combing over the site for anything that remotely resembles the tiniest fragment of a clue.

But the PMs, being evil, twisted individuals (*rushes back to LCP to check chip count* -- *ahem* -- whom we respect greatly), have distracted us with online poker. Normally, we search fanatically for clues and speculate wildly because there's nothing else to do.

You're right, though. I don't see any reason to believe we've found everything there is to find. We should be looking more.

But....poker.... Wink

Well its a good thing i'm free of that distraction
*swears at his computer some more, even though its his fault for not doing anything about it*

Just came to work and checked on the screencaps. The first instance is DON't. The second is identical.

That adds don; same font, same word, I'm guessing it's a dual instance of a single item.

I looked through the list, but multitasking and reading make for one hell of a headache. The link follows:

http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=IREGIMDEADDON

Discussion on other threads suggest that the missing letters in the table chat is just due to someone typing so fast that when they enter a line, the first parts get poofed.

That seems feasible, but I'm not sure I want to let go of that bone yet.

Any other thoughts?

Ok, theres 76924 combinations there (although this goes down to 35054 if we assume that the I is capitalised due to grammar, and to just 399 if we only count ones including the word died (which seems likely to be in there to me).
I enjoy reading quite a bit, but firstly, the plot in this bit of writing isnt that great, and secondly, its a bit much to sift

The plot in the Flash? Confused 'Cause, um, I don't think it's a plot. Just some weird phrases.

Just attempting a vague comedy reference to a story (cant remember where now) in which one of the characters tried to read the phone book: "Its got no plot, Characters just seem to come in and then are never mentioned, with little or no description, yet i find it strangely compelling..."
-edit: just to clarify, i was talking about the list of anagrams

Now, now, vector, he's entitled to his opinion. I won't maul him. Smile To each their own. It's just that the context of this quote was a discussion about the words on the home page, so I'm wondering what plot he's talking about. *shrug*

Idle curiosity, nothing more.

I would respectfully disagree regarding "died." The entire word "DEAD" is part of the initial anagram string -- to have a variation of that word be part of the answer would be... inelegant, from a standpoint of pure puzzle design.

I've been looking for interesting or reasonable solutions containing GAME, ENDGAME, ARG, or ARGN(!), but nothing's jumping out at me.

As an aside, the string IREGIMDEADDON does have 13 letters, the number of cards in a suit, so there's something. Or nothing.

I originally considered died as part of I died... (rest of sentence), using the first I aswell, but nothing seemed to look good. plus it was a way of narrowing the results a bit.

As for the plot thing, forget it, my only answer would probably be considered pretty insulting even though meant as a joke.

Sorry to go off on a different tangent altogether, but has anyone figured out what "Transaction History" is? You can see it by clicking on Cashier from the lobby and then Transaction History from there. I haven't noticed anything come in there...has anyone else?

/me raises an eyebrow.

I see. Well, yes, I don't think we need any insults thrown around, at least not at one another. Rolling Eyes

He was making a joke. Like he said.

Anagram lists don't have much of a plot, see. Wink

GAAAAHHH, That sounds SO familiar, but I can't place it. But you'd be amazed how many hits you get by searching on "phone book strangely compelling" in google Wink

I haven't been able to get anything out of the series of letters yet, but i'm willing to bet that there IS something there.
