Well, my thing was a bust. I called the London number last night GMT, but replaced the last three digits with 911.
I was greeted with exactly the same synthesised voice as the RSI line, which I took as a good thing, which told me I had got through to 'Shifa Life Herbs'. It asked me to leave a message. I shrugged and left my details, and today a lady from Shifa called back, and I got the website details. Sadly they are a RL company, so don't call!
I'm glad I pretended to be a rep from a medical supplies exporter, rather than blabbering about the Cube and Perplex City.

Tell me about it. When I think about the things I could have said...
Luckily a lifetime's practise of lying through my teeth may have saved me from real shame. Unless they track me down and ask me to make a bulk order.

BTW, to me, the voice at the phone number totally sounds like it is saying "sound therapy", not "sleep therapy". Does this tie in with the new experimental album mentioned in the Sentinel?

I thought that it might be 'somnotherapy'.

Yep, that's it. Definitely somnotherapy. So, that kills the connection I mentioned.
Oh.
I'm sorry.
Nevermind!

True, the word "deadline" was a bit harsh. I merely meant that the trail we've picked up by whois searching is starting to bear fruit, so if we didn't figure out the link between the old trail and this new one it might be a problem.
So far it doesn't seem to have any bearing on the "text adventure" game, so we probably have plenty of time to try to figure out the clues at Jones Beach. I'd personally be pretty happy if it took us down a second trail unrelated to the whois site.
Anyone close to Jones Beach have a GPS device?

Sorry to bump a thread that's relatively "old", but I thought I might remind everyone that we still haven't solved this. At least, not in my opinion. I mean, we kind of got sidetracked by the whole text adventure thing and never really gave this another thought. I know filmguy brought this up in another thread, but I wanted to remind everyone that we should probably take another look at this in case it happens to be important to the October 22nd event (perhaps reveal one of these mysterious "keywords" that they refer to). I know its kind of out of the way, but if anyone in NY has a GPS device and some spare time, maybe go take another look? Maybe bring someone along who isn't playing so they can give a fresh perspective. Sometimes I think we trick ourselves into expecting to see something and just tune everything else out. This trail can't possibly be a dead end.

Well, I have been out for a long time (if three weeks can be considered "a long time"). Actually, I notice there's been lots of action in these few weeks, it took a lot to catch up on things. I think Spankit is right. It's hard for me to believe that this Long Island mission was a dead end. Anyone in the team who wants to go back there armed with a GPS device?

Agree. I just think we need to solve this before the 22nd, and feel the two are connected. We've focused almost entirely on the coordinates in the Somnia message: what about the 7 wonders of the ancient world? One thought is British Museum - or perhaps there's a pub in central London called the Seven Wonders? Are the coordinates perhaps hours, minutes, seconds, telling us when to meet?
Must admit, I've chased these questions round my head for a couple of hours and got no further! Anyone else inspired?
