Strange letters.

Indeed, we have alot of letters, but does the make something if they are all lined up?

Posted this over in another thread (Marcus Ormand's metadex thread) but this picture started this thinking....

Julius Caesar (Shakespeare and real world history)

Steven Walsh = Cassius?

Marcus Ormand = Marcus Brutus

who conspired to get rid of

James Avery = Caesar?

Beth = I dunno Anthony or Caesar's wife Calphurnia perhaps

The first thing I thought of when I saw the red symbol was it looked like the @ sign. It looks to me like its a smaller symbol with a circle drawn around it.

I also found that picture of the Bobby through Google's images. One thing I've noticed about all the pictures used in the game so far is they seem too look like stock photos. Beth's picture, the Walsh', just about all the pictures look like stock photography. So, I'm also looking on google right now to see if I can find the same picture of those file cards. If the same picture is found, then perhaps those indexed letters F, P, and I think the last one is V not T, don't mean anything?

And I really really don't think the hidden face in the picture is made from the urchins. Theres no way. I don't know if it means anything, but it's definatly done on purpose.

Question

More to that Corner

I think there is more to that corner than the shade There is a bit of color.

I will take a better took at it tonight with a better program, but I blew this up 4x more.

Nobody seems to have spotted this, oddly enough, there are three files letters that are highlighted.

Including the obvious "F" there is also "P" and i think "T" from what i can tell.

I don't have a clue what this could mean, i figured i'd point it out though.

Can I get hear a "Trout" from anybody?

Wait a minute, that blue line on the right. looking at the tags (in the card file) it looks like this is another raised card Between Q and R? and again after W

You have to remember that JPeg's are susceptable to colour bleed

Is it me or does the top of the c index look a bit higlighted too?

And it definitely is the T which is highlighted.

OK, they didn't say I was (too) crazy at the MatrixReloaded thread.... so I'm posting this hear to see what (if anything) you folks can make of this.

This will take a bit of explaining, so have a seat.

In the new paintover.net image from Saturday night , I noticed what seems to be a face - a ghostly image, almost spectre-like, to the right of the policeman's face. Kind of spooked me when I first saw it. Some folks (notably here at Unfiction) just think it's the pattern of one of the sea urchins in the back, but I don't see it - it could also be that it's been enhanced to be more noticeable. (Thanks for seeing it too, Makkura.)

Also on Saturday, those of us who signed up for the MetaVRX Beta got an email that included this:

Quote:
In the coming weeks, we will be selecting testers who meet our requirements, and will be contacting those people by email. In the meantime, check back to the MetaCortex website often, and while you're there, be sure to check out our desktop wallpaper and screensaver to give your computer that MetaCortex look.

(emphasis added)

That desktop has been bugging me for a while - we know that Brave New World quote in binary on the front, but what about the image in the background?

Well, someone with more photoshop skills that I stripped off the binary and enhanced the background to come up with this:

Desktop background

It's from the Yahoo Metacortex group. You'll need to be registered with Yahoo Groups to get in. My first thought was that it looks like an @ sign.

After playing with this image for a while, I believe I've seen another face. (This is where the question of my sanity creeps in...)

With my limited graphics abilities, I've rotated the background, cropped out the English Policemen picture, made both transparent, and superimposed one over the other. Take a look.

(Might take someone with better graphics skills or software!)

Are we seeing the beginnings of a larger image? Are we supposed to be assembling various images scattered over these sites to create something larger and more meaningful? Have I completely lost it?!

I just whipped this one up.

Am I alone on thinking this means something?

I stick with the urchins, but that green version of the background is interesting... One can see a grid like pattern, with only 90 degree turns, and blended over it are these concentrical circles... This all as if one would be looking at it from an angle... You can see this on the thumbnail at the metacortex site too, but there the circles are visible mostly...
Any ideas what this could be? I guess a map or blueprint, but those circles confuse me...

Hey! They changed the picture! Definitely helping us out with that sign now. (And it's not scaled anymore)... The original one was posted here way back, from a mirror site: http://www.marl64.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/forumpics/00000100.jpg
even the filesizes differ.

hm... i was looking at the cascade vortex site, and their contact page has a huge pic of an @. the envelope behind it worth looking at? too blurred to make any detail out for me...
http://cascadevortex.com/images/contact.jpg

might be nothing - i mean there's so darn many @ signs in any given internet context anyway. just my two c's.
