[HELP] Trouble viewing updates

For some reason, I can't view the updates on Lucy's profile. All the rest of the updates, I can see, but not Lucy's.

I'm having the same problem. The only updates I can see on Lucy's page are the ones from Sept 21.

Can anyone tell why some of the updates are not showing for some of us? I'm only having trouble with Lucy's page, but it's a real pain in the butt.

i found that i had to click around and view some other characters profiles and some of their stories, pics etc first in order to "unlock" the stuff on Lucys page. (also, for me, only the downloadable .mov was working)

I have noticed that they use a number of cookies with session information. It looks like there is a certain order you have to visit things in order to see certain updates.

To get evertying working well on my machine, I had to whitelist the Last Call Poker site in my adblocker (Privoxy) because it has a habit of chaning long-term cookies to session cookies. If you are running an adblocker or privacy program, you might want to investigate similar options.

The only way I could get to Lucy's updates is by going to the dealers profile and clicking on "Lucy's Next Card". I couldn't get the updates by accessing her profile directly. It's strange, but I'd try that if you are having problems. See if it works for you too.

Thanks, skywisej! I tried that and it works. I'm hoping they fix it with the next update, though.

Oh! That worked for me too! Thanks!

updates

I do play and explore, but I also clean up my computer cookies all the time. Does this mean that I have to go back to every page each time?

This is frustrating. I understand that Brian has a work around for this, but I don't understand how to do it.

From the Last Call Poker Privacy Statement:
Quote:
Use of Cookies
Last Call Poker uses "cookies" to enable you to sign in to LCP services and to help personalize your online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.

If you clear your cookies, it will affect your experience. For most sites, that will simply log you out, but for LCP, it looks like it also affects what you can see.

I don't really have a workaround for this. Or more specifically, the workaround I have is very specific to my ad/cookie blocker program, Privoxy. I can basically tell it "I completely trust all content from *.lastcallpoker.com/*" and it will allow cookies, popups, and the like.

Rose, what browser do you use? In Mozilla, for example, you can easily allow cookies for lastcallpoker.com/* this way: menu Tools=>Cookie manager=>Allow cookies from this site. For IE I don't know, but I guess there must be something similar.
