Just throwing guesses out there... Notice Marcus reprimands Beth about the Labyrinth project (which we have not heard about so far, but I think it should turn out to be something as elaborate as Aquapolis). Major players in that myth are Theseus, Ariadne, and Minotaur. Minotaur is half-man, half-bull. Marcus' Zodiac sign is Taurus (bull). None of those clues worked so far, though... Sad could it be that that page wasn't up yet, and I should keep trying?

his star sign

his star sign is aries.. its on the cusp of aries and taurus (april 22 ).

I think everyone has tried everything now. But its probably so simple its been overlooked. coudl be something to do with lab too.. ie labyrinth.. science lab. Could be anything =/
i think the man we need to talk to about it is David Regenhardt.. he's probably set up default passwords.

No clue, someone already found the policeman image on another, completely unrelated site with google... Check the image thread, it's there somewhere

Caesar connection perhaps?

I don't know if this has been put together specifically but the following struck me after seeing the new paintover image.

There seems to be several connection to literature featured: Huxley's ABNW, Alice in Wonderland, and Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. With that could these names be setting te stage of character's and their roles for us?

Marcus Ormand = Marcus Brutus
Steven Walsh: Cassius?

who conspired to get rid of

James Avery = Caesar?

Not sure exactly how Beth fits this scenario - Anthony perhaps or Calphurnia (caesar's wife) who attempt to revenge and warn Ceasar respectively

i've been all over this one in my head...

maybe jeffreys/phillip gairden is mark antony...(i'm REALLY thinking this is the same guy maybe beth had him infiltrate metacortex to investigate avery's disappearance....hence the email about getting in just fine? hmm i dunno i know a lot of people think that's too many professions for one paranormal investigator/network security/Ph.D/editor to handle Razz or maybe his mind is free...)

maybe a brutus quote following 'et tu' would help? i don't have my xpeare book on me(i'm an English dork, it's a shame i don't have it ALL memorized Razz )

I've thought the same thing about Stone Jeffreys and Phillip Gairden. They look pretty similar, if you ask me, although my wife doesn't agree. Better yet, look at a non-movie picture of Lambert Wilson, who played the Merovingian. There are some similarities there, too.

Hoestly I think stuff like this is the wrong direction...I dont have much experiance with ARG's but this game seems less abstract than that. Since we have no reason to believe that Phillip or Beth would be trying to send coded messages to the general population, I'm assuming paintover.net is either a red herring or a place which will provide important clues in the future. I do think theres something to little-boxes though, but only when we find the deleated archives.

huxley and further pop culture

You know that Huxley was actually the inspiration for The Doors? The band name I mean?

for the 100th time, he is NOT a aries... he is a TAURUS.

aries starts March 20th ends april 19th.

taurus starts april 20th ends May 19th.

ormonds bday is april 22th.

therefore, he is a taurus and NOT a aries.

lets keep our facts straight people.

Following the labyrinth and the Brave New World clues I found that the word labyrinth is mentioned on chapter eleven of BNW (http://www.huxley.net/bnw/eleven.html)

Quote:
In the end John was forced to give in. Linda got her soma. Thenceforward she remained in her little room on the thirty-seventh floor of Bernard's apartment house, in bed, with the radio and television always on, and the patchouli tap just dripping, and the soma tablets within reach of her hand–there she remained; and yet wasn't there at all, was all the time away, infinitely far away, on holiday; on holiday in some other world, where the music of the radio was a labyrinth of sonorous colours, a sliding, palpitating labyrinth, that led (by what beautifully inevitable windings) to a bright centre of absolute conviction; where the dancing images of the television box were the performers in some indescribably delicious all-singing feely; where the dripping patchouli was more than scent–was the sun, was a million saxophones, was Popé making love, only much more so, incomparably more, and without end.

I tried passwords related with soma (the drug on BNW) but it doesn't seems to work.
