[INTERACTION] - Snail Mail from Orbicon 9th october Hey all,
Please trout me if someone has already posted this, but on Friday I got the orbicon credit card ad in the mail - BUT - with a CD, a letter to [another guy], and another ad for a resort in the Maldives. I haven't gone through the numbers on the back of the ad page yet to find out if it's the same as the original ad you all received at ARGfest, nor have I gone through the CD to see what's on it yet, but I'll do that as soon as I get home, and I'll post some clearer photos.
To see what photos I have, go here: http://caronz.blogspot.com/2005/10/argishness-orbital-colony-mail.html and here http://photobucket.com/albums/y31/AleshaP/Orbicon%20Mail/

Okiedokes, I went home during lunch and got the envelope - attached (hopefully) is the promotional video that was on the cd. I haven't scoured through it yet for potential clues, but feel free to do so.
Also in my package is an ad for the Credit Card, a letter to Mr Rinehart which is as follows (in lieu of a photo):
Quote:
Dear Mr Rinehart
We would like to take a moment to personally thank you and your organisation for your generous $5000 investment to the Road to the Stars Project. We would also like to extend an official invitation to you and a guest of your choice to the Road to the Stars Ribbon Cutting (See Attached information).
We have also included a preview copy of the Orbicon Corporation promotional video as a free gift.
Kindest regards from all the team.
Sincerely,
(picture of signature may hold a clue, as is amongst tiny and minute red and blue dots)
Richard Deele
Director of Marketing & PR
Orbicon Corporation
The Ribbon Cutting invitation reads as follows:
Quote:
Ribbon Cutting November 16th
You're invited to the Maldives Ground Station for the grand opening of the Road to the Stars!
Hors d'oeuvres - 2:00 pm
Ribbon Cutting - 3:00pm - (lack of space between time and pm exactly as shown on leaflet)
Prize Drawing - 4:00 pm
Celebratory dinner with Dr. I. Bronco - 4:40pm
Quote:

Ok, got mine on Friday as well. However due to a lot of activities I was unable to actually get around to opening it till Sunday. Anyways mine did not include a CD. Also I had a few difference as well.
Dear Ms. Balmer
We would like to take a moment to personally thank you and your organisation for your generous $1000 investment....
No mention of CD, but the rest is the same.

Sent mine in as well, should be interesting. Though I think we may have to wait till Monday. No automated response. The brochure was also the same from what I can tell. envelope contained nothing of interest other than Gary, IN and the stamp was the type that is electronic in print. Not the usual ones you get from the post office.

Gary In?
there's nothing on my envelope except for my address, the pre paid printed franking stamp (no idea how they sent that internationally without any codes or anything... I'll have to print out some envelopes with three black stripes on it...) and their Logo. No return address.

Sorry, should have stated in my post earlier. Gary, IN 46401 was the postmark over the stamp. Post office where it was recieved and processed. Was mailed on 5 Oct, 2005. As for the label, that was all I had as well in the from lines. Just a sticker that said Orbicon Corporation. Forgot to mention as well, I did do a contribution awhile back if I remember correctly. Atleast I think I did, it has be awhile. Not sure if that means anything or not.

I never contributed, and there's no post mark on my envelope, which is interesting and I'd not thought of that before.
HOw does one send internationally without a postmark on an envelope?

Promotional video Holy cow, where have I been that I haven't seen that video before? That's pretty spectacular. Great production value. The music is ideal. Color me extremely impressed.

Wowza. I have to say that a really impressive video. The trailer video was very well done, but something like that would probably take you just a couple days using a simple program like Windows Movie Maker. But that was all computer generted and whatnot - it must have taken some time! I totally forgive the PMs for taking forever to start if they can produce results like that!
And man, that music? It'll be the theme for Halo 3...with all the horns and snare drums...heck yes...
