I guess you could grab the Flash and mess with it? I'm not really sure about that, never tried anything with Flash.

I think I found something very cool, although it might not have anything to do with Lost...but when I read about it...wow, that sounds possible. Here goes:

Did anyone try to trace bigspaceship1.com back?
I did and landed at http://www.smartdust.com/
What an interesting site...just one word and nothing else.
I googled and looked it up in Wiki.
Sounded interesting, so I checked out real references on the net to find out if this project really exists and it does (I mean, why not?).
Kristofer Pister's home page

For those of you who watch Lost:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The mysterious cloud of black smoke could be a large mass of those Smartdust. I like this way more than some weird alien life-form or magical crap. The idea is fascinating I believe...a cloud of nano-chips flying from one mechanical apparatus to another, like it's alive.
I have no idea if this site is connected to Lost, but if it is, that would be a rather easy-to-find and blatant hint, wouldn't it?
I love this idea. I want to see it on the show now, hehe.

Well, using the Wayback Machine, this smartdust http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.smartdust.com goes back to 2000. I can't get any of the archived sites to work properly

It's from Atomicmedia, the same guys who are behind bigspaceship and Hanso Foundation and registered in January 2001. This can't have possibly anything to do with Lost, but damn, it's a good idea, anyway. Very Happy

It seems like smardust.com is some kind of testing page. If you go through the archive they put up several simplistic stuff that serves no real purpose.
It's funny how that led me to one of my favorite Lost theories ever...

But this one is on-topic I'd say:

Update:
Now it sounds more like rodents, actually. Earlier it resembled Donald Duck and I believe it was a different set of numbers compared to catherwood's link. But all of those are parodies on the Lost transmission, obviously.
Oh, and the Flash image changed to polar bears, by the way.

Tha's exactly what it is. Wink
It's an archived page and it's one of the more useful ones, because most of the phases the smartdust page went through are completely non-informative. Whereas this one at least has links about the subject.

Hmm... interesting trail to follow. Via the source, I've gone from http://www.dharmaindustries.com/ to http://www.thedharmainitiative.info/ to http://www.kraftkost.se/DI/, where I currently am. Also, with the last site... check out the meta tags...

Edit: Huh... one some of the sites, one or two of the numbers would flash green for a while, but then would show "Access Denied."

that smartdust sounds like something from the new sci-fi channel movie that aired recently. it was about little nano bugs devouring everything and affecting the weather. i don't remember the name but maybe someone else does.
