Also today, we get another Lucy-Devon email, and Paco unveiled another update for us in a poker game, via Harry Nakagawa.

Payphones are--

Yes, they are. And if I had been drinking milk just then, I'd have a noseful.

I'm guessing that Simon's is supposed to be dated October 7 or later, since it begins "They had buried Maurice on Friday." I'm expecting a correction

This was the first update i've witnessed so far in LCP - and tbh, it was awesome lol, seeing the scramble for people to find cards was hilarious Very Happy - and the live interaction with Vic was cool... he wants the hat sent here to Manchester, England cos he thinks it's a 'cool' place Very Happy

I missed most of today's updates because of... well... yeah, a poker game. Bunch of friends drinking and smoking around a table, you know, old school. Laughing Anyway, if Vic likes his hat to travel around the world, I'll be pleased to take it for a tour on some nice Brazilian beach. Just let me know and I'll PM my real-life address.

Strange you should say that, he finished the conversation asking it to be sent to Brazil for some unknown reason. Smile

Yes, I know. Too bad I wasn't in the chat. Bang Head
I have no idea why he talked about Brazil; despite the Paraguay episode, I think it's unlikely that the plot will involve actual intercontinental action. At least for now...
Who knows, maybe he did it to be sympathetic with my regular, boring, tearful lamentations about the fact that non-US players are sadly excluded from the fun and excitement of phonecalls and real-life interactions.
If that's the case, thank you so much Vic, wherever you are. Worshippy

(We really should have an emoticon for "kiss" or "I love you" or such. I could totally kiss Vic today, no matter how dead he is)

Of course, we'll have to wait until later to find out, but I think the JEB gun thing is our direct link to the game... it will be fun to see if JEB plays in the console game somehow... anyway, the timeline is right.

That's all.. .nothing to add... just useless, non-game-moving spec. (cuz I too will NEVER get a spade due to my awesome (read: crappy) connect-the-dots skills (with any speed, at least)

I'm new to the world of the ARG, but my friend got me hooked on LCP just after last Wednesday's update. Saturday, luckily, it was pouring rain all day, so I spend most of the day cursing at my computer, to the bewilderment of my girlfriend. At any rate, I was wondering if anyone had gotten anywhere by following leads from the Simon Weisenthal Center? I sent an E-mail and signed up for the mailing list, but unfortunately (at least in this case) it seems like a legitimate cause. I also googled the address on Matt Viet's arrest warrant and it doesn't exist. I don't know if this even means anything, but I just wanted to throw both out there.

yeah, I feel like an ass now...

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is very much a real, out-of-game institution.

Don't feel like an ass! You were being investigative. That is a good thing. Smile

It's just that it happened to be a real institution, in this case.

Welcome, and sorry if I made that sound like a smackdown.

Ruben and Gonzales and Shawn too!

Hey all,
I've been trying to find a way to get to Ruben's card, as I'm sure he has to have one somewhere (I mean, they mention him how many times?).

I had thought that I'd caught onto somehting in Harry Nakagawa's brief talk with McPherson, where he doesn't mention Ruben, but mentions the name "Gonzales".

I've tried "rubengonzales" and variations, but no use.

I've also tried variations on Corazon's relatives, but also to no avail.

Anyone have any thoughts? It just seems like with the number of times Ruben is mentioned, he's just got to have a card.

Oh, one more thing. Shawn. Seems like he ought to have a "chinese" last name, based on that post by Nakagawa, " and two bit hoods were repeating it to Chinese gang kids with orange hair." Orange hair, too. I'm betting the two bit hoods are Cream and Ricky.

If anyone gets anything using any of the above information, please let me know, just so I know my efforts are not going to waste!

Clearly, I was wrong about Shawn.
