Lucky wants Vic's hat to visit some exotic locations.
May I suggest the hat gets a tour of the well known SF landmarks and some off the wall places (Chinatown??). Don't take pictures *in* the cemetery - that is the absolute LAST place Vic wants to see his hat.

Good gods, that could go on for *days*
Chinatown, sure. But Coit Tower... Pier 39... [insert BART Station here]...
Do we know if Vic likes Chocolate? *winks*

I think we're going to need nametags. Do we have time to design anything specific? What has worked well at past gatherings?

Well... I'm 90% certain that I'll be there. Looks like the trip from here (San Jose) will take about 44 minutes.

Hi there! I'm coming out of serious lurker (and hibernation) status to say I will be there! I can't wait to meet some of the folks I chatted with during the Beast all those many moons ago...

Alright, guys, we have three days until the event in San Francisco and I've received contact information from krystyn, Silverkun, konamouse, thunderclap8, and Scrappy. That's it
If you are attending the event and need a contact or wish to act as a contact , I need you to PM me with a cell phone number or means of contact with you IMMEDIATELY so that we can have this weekend coordinated. It would be very, very bad to get to Saturday and not know who is calling who.
Please get your contact information to me ASAP.

ATDT and I came up with a pretty good one for Chicago that went over pretty well. the techy/Halo-ness of the design just wouldn't work with this game, but the basic layout of user icon and screenname/realname would work (maybe punched up with some cards or poker imagery)

Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it to this one. I think I used up all my work-shuffling magic during last year's event.
Wow. I'm smooth. See you guys there.

Be there with bells on I haven't posted to this yet and I don't really know anyone. I'm going to attend the event on Saturday in San Fran. My friend Lou has gotten me addicted to ARG's and I'm psyched about meeting all yawl. I sent my contact info to Jinx and Missphinx knows I'll be there. I'm definitely down to go out afterwards. Let me know what's up.

Hey All,
Well - given that I live in San Francisco (and previously made a speculative and snarky comment about the event not actually happening in the city) I suppose I ought to go in order to keep what few shreds of ARG dignity I have:)
One question I had was if anybody thinks it would be a good idea to have somebody there not participating in the tombstone game? With the secondary event involving the radio and instructions transmitted via the site might it me wise to have somebody focusing only on that instead of running about? I, appropriately enough, would be happy to do that. Though I'm sure they will run it such that it won't be much of a problem.
In regards to post-event activities we may want to keep in mind that Colma has it's very own card room in which we could re-create our favorite on line moments. Like me losing a ton of money, or people trying to get crappy songs stuck in my head in an effort to distract me.
Yours in booze,
Boozemonkey

Hi Boozemonkey -
I think if you'd rather coordinate than actually play, that would be just FINE. I'm glad you're coming!!
Also, we were just looking up Wendy's in chat (don't ask) and I found the casino too! !!! !!! Do we have a mission, or what? Does this mean I need to bring a change of sleazy gambling clothes? http://www.luckychances.com/
Should we talk about how everybody is getting there, by the way? (I have to be at a car place at 11, then drive across the bay (in my car not the busted one), so I may not be getting there until 1:30 (praying to the god of traffic).)

If you're coming over the Bay Bridge on Sat. be aware that CalTrans will be closing all eastbound traffic for repair work on Sat morning from 1am to 7am, and Sun morning from 1am to 9am. I doubt any of us will be getting there that early or staying that late, but I just wanted to give you all a heads up.
Info .

In case someone's still "on the fence" on the matter, I believe today is the last call for people to pipe up to be either an online contact or an onsite contact.
Please Sound Off here...
