For my two-peneth worth, I think we should wait. If for no other reason than Scarett asked us not too tell anyone. To go against that would seem to say that we don't trust her, despite us sending her potentially into the lions den.

I suggested that we ask Violet to make contact with Scarlett, to check up on her. :
Dear Violet, I recently emailed you're sister Scarlett, but received no reply. (NOTE:this bit is a lie to provoke the next bit). Could you possibly keymail her just to check that she is ok? Best not to be too inquisitive though, im sure she is loving her freedom! Just say you haven't heard from her in a while, and want to know how her trip is going on.

This is a rough plan of what I reckon we should say, as we aren't revealing anything. In no way does this disobey Scarlet's wishes.
We can assess the situation from what Scarlett tells her, and also from what she hides from her that we know.
Also Atrophoed, i understand that you don't want us to go against Scarlett's wishes (and this wouldn't), but if Scarlett turns up dead in a few days time, do you reckon Scarlett will still be pleased we didn't do anything?

Ok, I'm prepared to entertain the idea of contacting Violet. I propose the following email

It's my turn then to play the devil's advocate:

We don't tell anyone anything about this, we just wait patiently until we find out that:

a) Scarlett dissapears, never to be seen again... or she is found... dead or in a coma.

b) Scarlett lets us know she's ok (or at least she would think that she is ok). So far, we don't know what kind of brain alteration she may have suffered in Tanraga. Or some sort of spyware device being installed in her key... or something.

Honestly, I don't think following the will of an impetous girl, even though it could put her at more risk is the best course of action. But she is the most important source of information on the Vienderbourg lead, so maybe that's exactly what we have to do... not tell anyone and wait, wait and wait. [/playing devil's advocate]

EDIT: Honestly, I don't feel very comfortable with this course of action.

Hmm. What is Violet's email address? That is the only one I haven't actually got stored. (Don't worry, i would only contact her if we all agreed)

I like ryandrew's suggestion of asking someone to check on Scarlett 'as she is not responding to us' however...

...This bit is purely SPEC: what if lines of communication between Scarlett and her family, or known acquaintances are being monitored?
I would, as toongoon suggested, contact Kurt as he is not as, immediate a contact as Violet is.

Even with this method, there is still the worry of him telling Violet and her then making her own attempt to contact Scarlett, also if Violet is being monitored, what's to say Kurt isn't too?

Just a suggestion, which I seem to have ripped apart myself, im not sure.

I see what you mean Sentinel about Violet being watched (or her communication anyway), but i dont think it is true. ALso, even if it were, surely those responsible wouldn't learn anything they didnt already know, or that proved useful to them?

I suppose, the only thing they would find out, is that there may be people looking for Scarlett. This may lead to them discovering that Scarlett alerted someone of her whereabouts, possibly making it difficult for her to contact us again.

But like I said, this is purely SPEC, and i'm probably just being paranoid again.

I understand what you mean about waiting, and Violet rushing off, and potential full scale war between Earth and Perplex City. But consider this:
We are many cities. We would easily win. Muahaha.
Seriously though, i think there is a way to contact violet without having her run off, all guns blazing to her death.

Well, since I don't have the internet at home, and I have to come into uni to use it, I will be back tomorrow. Im going home now. I hope by tomorrow a plan of action has been agreed on. Or if not, then we have had an update. Im getting impatient/worried!
