I've gone for 'someone.' I know that this is, after all, just a game but 'She told us not to...' (especially considering her admittedly confused mental state) is a bit cold-blooded for my taste.

I am not sure what else there is to discuss. Scarlet is a big girl. If she has the ability to send a note from her hospital bed saying "please don't tell anyone," then she also has the ability to contact her daddy and say "HELP!" What else is there to debate?

We'd all be fools if we think that Sende doesn't read her blog(what father doesn't snoop it's a job requirement) If we are under the paradigm that all blogs to earth are secret that defeats the reality of the blogs. I voted that we let someone know post haste!!

If she was coerced into writing a letter that was meant to discourage anyone from following her, don't you think it would be a little less "I'm really not sure if I'm going to be alive much longer"-ish? Somehow, I am willing to assume that Scarlett is in a safe place.

Reasons that an "unknown faction" could keep Scarlett and allowing her to keep her key, thus having means to communicate with the outside world and call for help?

a) She has been forced to send a fake message. She's been taken as a hostage and is being threatened. In this case there could be a hidden message in her keymail (I like the word ). Has anyone confirmed if there's a message like the one that was hidden in her letter to the Sentinel a long time ago?

b) The baddies (whoever they may be) want to keep a low profile, making her believe that she's in a legitimate medical facility (given her state of confusion, she couldn't tell the difference).

Can't think of anything else, and both reasons don't seem pretty convincing.

But I agree that, provided that there is no news from Scarlett by Saturday, we could send her a message to show her that we are really worried about her. We haven't considered e-mailing Scarlett directly yet, have we?

Otherwise, tip Violet on checking on her sister.

I thnk there is an issue that we haven't disscussed,is telling someone practical. The Taranga region is a rather large distance away from PPC, several days by train at least. Given the scarcity of air transport, it seems unlikely that if we send a message now, people will arrive before saturday. And if we tell Sente and he sends in the marines... how do you think a secret, highly organised group of people with unknown and possibly malicious motives are going to react if they see a fleet of military aircraft headed in their direction? if the third power have scarlett then she is the perfect hostage, and anything we do with only partial info is likely to make things worse. Again I think we should keep quiet, at least until we're sure that scarlett won't contact us.

Should we mention the updates on her blog? They're pretty clearly directed to us, and they tell everything Scarlett wanted us to keep quiet. ... Not that Violet or Sente couldn't just pop on her site and read all of that without our direction. *shrugs*

And how do we make sure Violet doesn't put herself in harm's way without us breaking Scarlett's trust?

If we're going to contact Violet, how about we wait until tomorrow afternoon at the very least? If you guys haven't noticed, Scarlett usually (and by usually, I mean there have been 2 exceptions) sends out e-mails on Fridays. That's the main reason I wanted to wait until the end of the week before e-mailing someone for help. I'm pretty sure we'll hear from Scarlett tomorrow. I know it might not make much sense in terms of storyline for her to wait a week before sending us another e-mail (Or it might. We'll probably find out tomorrow), but I'm pretty sure MC is releasing the e-mails in weekly episodes.

I know it kind of takes away from the whole atmosphere of the game (which is why I didn't want to mention it before), but I just think it would be foolish to get Violet involved in this whole thing just because we couldn't wait for a day. Of course, I could be wrong about the whole weekly episode thing and Scarlett could very well be dead, in which case waiting for a day won't make a difference.

I'm glad that we came together to debate the issue and come to a consensus as a group. But, seeing as tomorrow is when we usually get an update from Scarlett, I think we ought to wait another 24 hrs to see if she actually gives us an update before sending off an email to anyone. It would be foolish to send off an email now and then potentially get an update tomorrow informing us that she is in no danger.
