Yeah, I see this.

Seriously...it's still morning in the US. Although this is supposed to be located in the UK, right? Anyways, you should wait until the end of this day and if nothing happened, it's most likely dead.

Haha, subtlety at its best xD

But yeah, it's UK based and we've got another five or six hours left in the day yet, so you never know...

It'd be a shame if this died, it had potential.

In my eyes, that's nothing to laugh about. Whoever the PMs were behind Greg's Life, they're bound to have learned from the experience. Even if all they learned was that they're not suited to PMing, or that they don't have the time and energy for it, that's something. Comments like the one that you link to don't help anyone, and only reinforce the feelings of negativity that surround any failed project.

I just wish they'd had the openness to announce that the game was dead weeks ago, and all of the bitterness in this thread could have been avoided.

The other theory, of course, is that we played the game to its logical conclusion, and lost. Greg and his friends were injected with mindless conformity serum, and thus disappeared. We didn't do enough to stop that happening (though I fail to see how we could have prevented it). If that's the case, then I think we can blame the PMs for a lack of flexibility. It's an old truism that players never do what you expect them to do; backup plans are your friends.

I'll admit it's an unlikely theory, though. I think the PMs just gave up on this one. However, the fact that so many players did not should provide them with a modicum of encouragement, no matter what.

@cyberinsekt
You are right, but whoever made that comment probably is not worth a second thought. The language tells all. That's why I would laugh about it.

Yeah... lock, delete, put in the graveyard, hide it in the closet like it was your ugly sister... something.

I hereby second request for lock, and placement in archives (if we're archiving non-fulfilled ARGs.) Locky!

locked and moved. if it shows life again, we'll resurrect the thread ~ varin
